Young & Restless’ Michelle Stafford Gets Candid: ‘So This Year Has Started Rough’
It’s a new year and though for many, it may have gotten off to a good start but for others, not so much. The Young and the Restless’ Michelle Stafford (Phyllis) recently took to social media to reveal that 2024 had “started rough” for her. However, the CBS soap actress did get candid about how she handles the good and the bad and we have to agree, “you cannot escape life,” but you can make it better.

“OK,” Stafford began. “So this year has started rough.” She went on to describe how she sees the big picture and stated, “You cannot escape life (well, actually, you can but I ain’t doing that).” Through all of the ups and downs, she reminded that there will also be “great love” along with “brutal losses” and added, “We cannot escape sorrow just as we cannot escape happiness. Certainly happiness is more… fun.”

Indeed it is so we all need to take a look around us and really take in the things we are thankful for. “I am so grateful for the beautiful people I have in my life (including you folks),” Stafford expressed. “As years go on, I have learned to put more emphasis on what’s right. What’s good. What I love.”
So, what is the actress getting at? “I don’t know… ‘love’ I guess. Just love. Keep on keeping on and keep on living a great life,” she urged. “The time here is as great as you make it.”
No truer words have been spoken and we are the only ones in control of our happiness, so as Stafford has done, we too urge each and every one of you to be happy too!
