There are multiple hanok houses under hanok 24 guesthouse, we stayed in one of the rooms in a 3-bedroom house and shared the bathroom and living area with two other guests. The room was small and basic (it could fit two single mattresses and that's about it). House was very clean and neat. Our person in charge, Ella has been awesome. She has been extremely patient and helpful in providing assistance and answering our queries. We couldn't have asked for a better host. The location is about a 5-6 min walk to the nearest metro exit (Gyeongbokgung station). There are many restaurants nearby, it is also very near to the popular ginseng chicken stew, Tosokchon.

Although it took us ~10 mins to find (there are many hanok houses all together), it was a great choice of accommodation for our night in Seoul! The staff were smiley and accommodating, helpfully explaining the layout and how to lock the doors, and happy to give my mum an extra futon. The place itself is all beautiful brown wood, with almost paper-like walls. You’re provided with a bed roll, pillow, and duvet, a little table, and a coat stand in the room, and communally there is a table low to the floor plus everything you could want in the kitchen and bathroom! Lovely shower, very hot. It’s quiet even though it’s fairly close to the road. Gyeongbokgung station is down the street and along the way you pass many restaurants! Be aware that you are making a booking to sleep on the floor, so if you know you won’t be comfortable then don’t book. If you’re up for some traditional living then this is perfect! There’s also aircon for those unused to the heat. I will recommend to my friends :D

We loved our hanok stay (hanok meaning traditional Korean house). The heated floors were fantastic and we slept quite well. It could get a bit noisy since we shared a bathroom, kitchen and living space with 2 other rooms, but all in all we had a great time. Conveniently located near Gyeongbokgung, and next to the food street so we were never out of food options. Also situated near plenty of cafes for a nice relaxing time. We would hop on the subway line 3 at Gyeongbokgung station (a 5 minute walk). Helpful and accommodating hosts who helped us extend our stay when our flight got moved. Overall a great experience and we would stay there again!

Hanok 24 Guesthouse was an absolutely wonderful place to stay. It was bitterly cold outside, but the guesthouse itself was so warm and comfortable I didn't want to leave.
