Like I can tolerate the 2nd season focusing on Mei's thirst for Ryusaki cuz I gave up taking it seriously as romance
BUT DID NO ONE NOTICE THAT IT'S REUSING THE SAME PLOT POINTS/CONFLICTS (idek what they are called at this point) IN THE RECENT UPDATES

I stopped reading this Webtoon when people in the comments tried to excuse that one thief-master guy attempting to (tw) assault Mei. They tried to play it off as him being 'in-love' and 'misunderstood,' and it disgusted me.
When i heard of the katsu and mei thing happening again, that was straight up the last thing I needed to hear to finally drop this webtoon.
The author really did just make this new season just to drag out and milk MDCBK.
The past seasons were pretty good though, so lets just all agree that this season doesnt exist and MDCBK finished with the last :)
Yeah, and now Ryu is kinda forcing himself on her to show off his dominance of over Katsu. She was clearly against it, but no, he insisted. Keep her out of your sibling rivalry! And the funny thing is almost the entire fandom supports what he's doing, calling it hot and whatnot. Just because he'sgood looking doesn'texcuse this kind of behavior. She's not an object to show off. Where is the respect?
Part of me wants to believed that the author is not that cheap, and she is not going to go to square one with those two, because there is a million reasons why she should not:
He said he hated to be a king, and what he is doing and enjoin is basically diplomatic/legal work, he can be Ryuzaki's chancellor if he wants to help his country.
If he wants to be a king, he just have to marry Ayame, she is the heiress of a bigger, more prosperous kingdom and she is unprepared to rule. If he still wants help his former kingdom, just being a good neighbor, making fair trade agreements and supporting Ryuzaki to stabilize the country would do wonders.
Talking about Ayame... she love him! She had for a long time, and he reciprocated in the last few episodes or the first season. She is also pretty and they are more compatible and she is happy to let him be the strong one and the one making the decisions as he likes.
Let say that everything that happened in last episode are just red herrings and there is a plot twist there, just by the fact that he didn't kiss Mei and left her alone in her room. Let say he really love Ayame, he is going to marry her and rule his kingdom and he is over Mei, and he only wants to fool the governor to bind him legally to treaty and secure Ayame's Kingdom borders... JUST FREAKING TELL THEM YOUR PLAN FROM DAY ONE AND NOT THIS SO-MYSTERIOUS/MISUNDERSTANDING/MISCOMMUNICATIONTM BS!!!!!!!!!!
I wanted to throttle someone when Katsu started pulling ish again. I was always on board with Ryu. However, while that part was annoying I think this new season is different. Mei and Ryu have established their feelings. They are working to be the king and queen together and are traveling to new places rather than it being so central on the Capital. I’m interested in seeing where this goes from here.
