- PennDaleCoopersburg, PA976 contributionsWe visited the Mercer museum on a very cold November day. I mention that because while this is inside, it’s massive and not really heated. I went with my husband and father in law. If you are interested in our countries working history, this is the place to go. Especially interesting if you have an engineering bent. Not for young children as touching is not allowed and there is a lot of reading to understand what you are seeing. We spent a full two hours. It’s also not very accessible if you have mobility issues, and the descriptions are all above a wheelchairs height even if one wanted to do it floor by floor. There is an elevator. We enjoyed ourselves and would recommend it.Written 30 November 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Emily MAlbrightsville, PA29 contributionsWe drove about 1.5 hr to get here, so I was nervous I was going to be disappointed, but it was sooo worth the trip! We spent 4 hours here and could've stayed longer. Pack a lunch, there are plenty of shaded tables. My son is only 2 so I didn't know if the castle would be dangerous, but I was able to climb through most parts with him, and he really did fine all by himself. He even went down the big slides all by himself countless times. He had a blast, and so did I! Can't wait for more warm weather to come back.Written 23 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Nancy Geiger3 contributionsAmazing history! Great tour guide thoroughly enjoyed and worth the visit! What prompt me to visit was having the pleasure of listening guest speaker, Julie Hennings at a luncheon.Written 22 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - jeniferjaronsonMarion, IN13 contributionsFive out of five.
Thoroughly enjoyed the quality and size of this art museum’s exhibits where I could linger and not exhaust myself traipsing through many large halls or a larger art museum. The outdoor sculpture garden, the outstanding gift shops, and of course, the temporary exhibits, were all memorable and inspiring. The Japanese wood block exhibit was very thorough in its representation and explanations of the process. Even the sales lady taking admission and ringing up purchases was unusually kind and welcoming. Highly recommend going.Written 21 July 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Look at what the crafters are selling. Listen to the music. Watch the dances. And, then, there is the beautiful amber jewelry and the delicious food. There is PLENTY of parking for the thousands of travelers who want to visit here. The stained glass windows and sculptures are stunning.Written 4 September 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Brian MLaurel, MD135 contributionsIf you go to the castle, go next door and take the short tour and see the video. Helps you appreciate Mercer’s tile creations and the tile in his house. Watch a craftsman make tiles from local clay, just as it was done a hundred years ago.Written 13 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Jeffrey S4 contributionsMy fiancee and I had a planning meeting for our wedding in December this month. Monika and the staff are all very helpful when answering questions and suggesting vendors. The property and mansion itself are incredible and just what we were hoping for for our wedding. We're looking forward to the menu, full of great seasonal options, and having been to JAM catered weddings before know it is of the best quality possible for large events like this.
Can't wait for our wedding here!Written 10 October 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Last night their guides gave an informative tour of the Doylestown Cemetery which focused on the residents of Doylestown who served, and some died, during the Civil War.
I learned the meaning of "Saved by the bell".Written 31 October 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. One Saturday night, there was dining in the street, as one block was closed off and all the restaurants moved chairs/tables and service into the street. Music added to the fun. Fun sites are: Pearl S. - Grant B3 contributionsI've been trying to hit most of the wineries in NJ & SE PA this year (yes, it's a LOT!). This one is located not far from a friend's house in SE PA, so we visited one recent Saturday, getting there right about noon.
Quaint, rustic building with outdoor patio area and rolling vineyards in a valley below. Very pretty.
There was nobody else there, so my friend & I had the bar to ourselves. The young lady offering the tastings was very pleasant and didn't rush us at all. All the wines were drinkable (unlike some other places) with the Blaufränkisch being my personal favorite. Only a half dozen or so wineries in PA/NJ grow that grape, Vivat Alfa being one of them.
Good value, very pleasant experience.Written 24 August 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Staff works at a quick pace to attend to customer needs. Parking is difficult and the location is not directly on Main Street, but well worth the effort.
Located on each side of a walkway, the restaurant and pub are on opposing sides of the walkway. For my wife and I, a favorite.Written 10 November 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
