Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

The Roman Catholic Church of St. Augustine and St. John, more commonly known as John Lane's Church, is one of Dublin's most beautiful churches. It's centrally located in the city and it's beautiful exterior gives a hint of the equally beautiful interior. Inside you will find wonderful stained glass, carvings, and stonework that are impressive. It is very much a Roman Catholic Church in all its glory and grand decor. This church is a must-see when in Dublin.

This enormous Augustinian Catholic Church is a glorious sight to behold. Both side walls are lined by confessionals (no one does penance like the Augustinians). The stonework and wood carvings are amazing and the stained glass windows are breathtaking. I attended Mass there, and even the newly-installed prior seemed overwhelmed by its awesome beauty. Take the ramp to the front door so as not to disturb the homeless man whose encampment blocks the main entrance.

I was visiting another church and the docent told me to be sure not to miss John's Lane, a short walk away. It was really grateful. It's a gorgeous church with truly stunning stained glass windows... not that old...built in the late 1800s. If you enjoy church buildings, it's definitely worth a quick look.

Walking along the street, I did not have visiting this Church in our travel plans . But it captured me and beckoned me as I walked past it. I just had to go in and see it!

I am glad I did. Definitely worth a visit! It is beautiful!the stained glass is just lovely.

The name of the Church shown on the sign outside is St. Augustine and St. John the Baptist Church but it is also known as John’s Lane Church!

The intricate stained glass windows are amazing. The altar is beautiful. To the right of the altar is a little side room that is stunning. We just happened to be walking by after the Guinness tour and I am very glad we took the time to step inside.

This is a nice church. It’s located about a 5-10 min walk from the Guinness Storehouse.

It was a good place to have a quiet reflection.

This church seems to me to be under rated, it has free entry, not much advertising coverage and is the most ornate and beautiful of all I visited. In my opinion it leaves the others in it's wake. Definitely worth a visit for it's beauty and detail.
