“Loooove Golden Boy pizza! This is my first time at the San Mateo location, my go to is the SF location. My favorite pizza here is the clam and garlic pizza Disclaimer: you can only order small or large pizza pans here, they do not sell individual slices like SF. Tip: call ahead to order as it takes 30-40min to bake and can get quite busy with lots of orders. There are no tables or chairs to eat on, so it's literally to go only. The restaurant is on the outer park of the block so be prepared to park on the street/sidewalk.”

“The outdoor patio was perfect for our Sunday brunch and our 18th Anniversary. We’ve celebrated many occasions at All Spice and have always had a stellar experience with the staff and the food. Our table felt intimate — we were sharing a large space with four other tables, appropriately distanced. The staff was friendly and knowledgeable. Again, all Covid-19 compliant. The food, oh the food! The Dutch baby was perfectly cooked and the fruit fillings were gorgeous. The chicken sandwich was out of this world. The Mimosa and hard apple cider beverages were on point. We always love our meals at All Spice and this time was no exception. It’s a total gem!”

“I've been a patron of Romolo’s for quite some time now. Their cannolis are some of the best in the entire Bay Area, even surpassing some I've tried in Italy. The key aspect is that they prepare your order in front of you, which sets their establishment apart as one of the best. Unlike most places that have their cannolis pre-filled and waiting for customers, at Romolo’s, the shell never gets soggy. On your first bite, you experience a satisfying crunch, which is crucial. The ricotta filling, if you opt for the classic, is light, airy, and creamy, just as it should be.”

“So far, I’ve had the lentil soup (freakin’ de-lish!!) and a combination personal pizza. The flavor was a delight to my palate! I totally recommend velo*city pizza. Get in there and try them out! You WILL return for more! I met Phillip yesterday and when he learned that I am a musician, songwriter/performer with a current release, he immediately expressed genuine interest in my music. In fact, I believe that he downloaded and Play-listed my song “St Francis” right on the spot, and then he shared his delight in hearing my music with the lady who was also working with him behind the counter. You cannot buy this kind of energy he expressed! Phillips’s reaction to my music made me feel so good inside. I was humbled. I am going to request DrGlyn Reece of the MothFM network of radio stations to give a shout out to velo*city pizza! - Myron Edwins”

“The most amazing Italian food on the peninsula. Karen is so kind and attentive. We come here for every occasion we can celebrate and just being alive is one of them. Get the Ravioli if only as an appetizer to share so you can get more dishes. Every dish is amazing and the ambiance is cozy and inviting. Make a reservation if your party is larger than four just so they're ready. Small seating area outside too. I love this place.”

“Cosy Italian café with great foodOrdered a risotto with salmon. The salmon was cooked perfectly and the risotto is also tasty. I heard that they served really good desserts which were not on the menu. The coffee price is also affordable. Will definitely come back again.”

“4.5/5 stars Might be the best hot pot spot in the Bay Area. Service was pretty good and they stayed attentive. House special spicy soup is loaded with flavor. Went with medium level as this broth can get quite spicy. Duck was our other base and wasn't nearly as flavorful. Lamb was surprisingly better than the beef. Spice from the broth complimented lamb much better. There was so much flavor that sauce was not even needed! Also, Chinese donut w/ shrimp paste are a must y'all ready know! Beef tongue wasn't too special. Fried rice with beef was bommbbb. Honestly might've been the best fried rice out of all the Chinese restaurants I've ever been to. Every grain of rice was coated with just the perfect amount of oil. Braised pig trotter was immaculate. Fried to a perfect golden color on the outside to a soft tendony inside. Seasoning on the side is a must to top it all off. Best tendon/collagen meat I've ever had!”

“This was our first time here, and walking inside gave a pretty warm inviting feeling for a Wednesday morning.   Simply decorated and well lit.   It was pretty busy as well.  I was greeted right away, and my order was taken promptly.  Both people who helped me were super nice and made sure my order was complete.We ordered:1.  Corned beef hash and eggs -   Tasty and couldn't get enough.  The red peppers and seasoning went well with the crunchy hashbrowns and over easy egg2.  Meatlovers breakfast sandwich -  It's a good hearty sandwich with a lot of flavors.   Something you can eat on the go,  but why rush perfection?3.  Chicken and waffles -  The waffles were light and had crunchy edges.  To me, it didn't need syrup or butter.   I could easily polish it off in one sitting.   I'm the type that doesn't eat chicken and waffles stacked together.  I eat it separately.  The chicken was crunchy and juicy.   I loved that it came with gravy,  I wish I had asked for more. It was a perfect combo.3.  Brioche toast - Cinnamony and sweet.   Not your regular french toast, but it was good.   It's not super eggy,  like you can taste the bread and the seasoning.Overall,  we were happy with our visit and will be back soon.   Highly recommend this to people who are looking for classic American Breakfast with a light twist.”

“We had an absolutely lovely experience here! Came for my boyfriend’s birthday, everyone was friendly and attentive. Fantastic high end ambience. The food was almost too beautiful to eat and every one of us thoroughly enjoyed our entrees. One of our guests said it was the best spaghetti he had ever had! The mushroom risotto was perfection. I had the Chilean sea bass and WOW! The salmon was also amazing. The other two guests had roasted chicken and hangar steak… I didn’t get to try them but they looked amazing and everyone cleaned their plate even though we were full lol! We will absolutely be back. “Fun, casual place for meeting a group. The culinary approach is best described as comfort food, with something for every taste. I chose Lazy Dog to for a family get-together because it's close to our Foster City relatives, has easy parking, and a nice outdoor area that is dog-friendly. We all found something we liked in the menu. My husband really liked the Cuban sandwich, my older daughter loved the Kraft macaroni and cheese (nothing special, obviously, but exactly what kids tend to want), while my other daughter wanted Asian noodles, so we shared the yaki soba (which was delicious). Most importantly, my somewhat picky 92 year old grandmother, who medically needs to make sure she eats enough (but can't always bring herself to), ate her entire portion of teriyaki noodles. The lunch portion was perfect for her--she can't eat too much in one sitting. What I liked most about Lazy Dog was the service. Anthony was really great. Some of the dishes we initially tried ordering were unavailable, so he brought free dessert--sundaes for both my daughters. And they were extra fun: bowls of ice cream with little dishes of chocolate sauce, strawberry sauce, and sprinkles so the girls could make the sundaes themselves. The other staff were also attentive. When the sun got bright, they brought an umbrella, unprompted, to shade my grandmother. There's a deal right now for one small plate for $5, available all day--a bargain.”

“Located in the back of a hot dog restaurant, follow the white rabbit down the stairs to look for the entrance of a speakeasy. The atmosphere in here is absolute immaculate with a witchy/ astrological theme to the drink. You have your white tarot cards as classic cocktails & black tarot cards with an innovative twist. It gets booked up pretty fast but this is definitely one of the coolest bars to visit in the peninsula! Highlights: lost at sea: a pandan cocktail served in a lion cup old fashioned: they use really good bourbon for their drink it's actually a steal definitely one of the best that I've had Tip: there's drawings of what type of glass each drink is served in if you want any cute aesthetic cups for photo ops! Service is AMAZING. Loved the bartenders”

Haven’t had anything there I haven’t liked yet.We typically order the omakase and add a couple more items like the toro and blue shrimp. Their plates are delicious as well, but I definitely recommend the omakase hands down.The reason I love their omakase so much:1. Always fresh, always yummy2. They season based on the fish. So, they don’t just have one sauce that gets added to everything. There is a journey to taste.3. You get a dessert!As I said, place is always busy. If you are able to make reservations, recommend that but I sometimes have a hard time reaching them over the phone. Otherwise, get there 15-20 min before they open and prepare to stand in line for a bit.”

I was so impressed with the 6in mango cake I decided to get more for a coworker birthday and going away cake.The cakes are beautiful and delicious. They’re pretty standard cake prices ($30+) I call or email ahead of time to order. The fruit cake doesn’t seem to be available all the time, but it’s totally worth. I didn’t get a pic of the tiramisu :(I’ll be looking forward to getting more cakes in the future! The other pastries from here are good, too!”
