Nothing more than a bait-and-switch

While shopping, they offered a coupon. Once you accept it, the coupon discounts your cart. Then when you check out, that coupon mysteriously disappears. When calling about this, the customer service agent was rude and would not even look into it.

Stay away from this place!

BEWARE OF EMAIL ADVERTISEMENTS

I saw an email ad from this company this morning that said "FREE SHIPPING on orders of $99+ Some Exclusions" and, within the same email in the box just below the box containing the free shipping ad was an ad for 50% off Sierra Matchking .223 bullets. Seeing no mention of an exclusion, I ordered enough to exceed the threshold, naïvely expecting the free shipping to be applied at checkout (as the ad states) but I was still charged the $13.50. The total charge exceeded my threshold for reloading my own so, after emailing Midway twice and having to call, I was told (in the fine print), ammo, guns and powder are excluded from all free shipping.
I requested the order be cancelled and will await my refund. Midway used to be a good company but I remain suspicious my refund may not come through or certainly not in a timely manner.
I will no longer allow this company to send me emails and will delete my account with Midway which I have had for 25+ years.

Bad ammo, Midway refused to make it right. Avoid this company.

I ordered 2 boxes of Barnes ammo in 300 WinMag. The cost was $3.30 per round. It is very high quality ammo I commonly use. Typically the brass has highly polished brass cases with a mirror type of finish.
What I received was blemished ammo cases with tooling marks (scratches). I contacted MidwayUSA and sent photos of this horrible looking. Their response “no returns/refunds on ammo and our QA/QC manager says it’s fine”. I know from past experience this was not Barnes quality ammo.

I sent the same info to Barnes. They responded quickly and their QA/QC manager apologized and said it is not to their standard. They offered to replace the ammo and are sending it now.

I used to give MidwayUSA plenty of business. That stopped today. They do not stand behind what they sell you and their customer service is horrible these days

DISHONEST, INCOMPETENT COMPANY!!

This is a HORRENDOUS, DISHONEST COMPANY! They completely mangled a shipment of my order -- for the first time in my experience, their label apparentlty came off the box in shipment! -- they then misinformed me that the order had been delivered when, if fact, it had been delivered back to them (causing me to run around my neighborhood looking for it), and then once returned back to them they utterly refused to expedite reshipment or even to expedite my refund when I cancelled due to their incompetence! So at the end of the day MIDWAY USA will have held my money for about a month while never having PROPERLY shipped the product I purchased with those funds. STAY AWAY FROM THESE SHYSTERS. THIS IS NOT AN HONORABLE COMPANY. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED!!!

Lost buisness and saved me money

Placed a $200 plus order and get a phone call to do a quality check because i paid with my wifes card. I was told they needed to speak to her to process the order, like talking to her over the phone is going to verify who she is,in 15 years this has never happened So i told the lady im good cancel the order. Did a little more searching for the items i wanted and ended up saving a lilttle over $40 bucks from another store. Thanks Midway USA, your incompetence saved me money!

Terrible Business Practices

Do not under any conditions order from this company. People order online so they don’t have to talk to anyone it’s more convenient. Tried to order from Midway instead of Amazon. Had to have some “quality check” and would only talk to my husband! He is a construction worker and can’t just hop off a roof for some stupid quality check! Wokeness at its finest! Stay away from Midway USA!

I had the same experience as AF user…

I had the same experience as AF user below. 3/25 I placed an order for ammo. And on 4/1 I called a few times to ask different representatives. They first said my order was placed on hold because of quality check. Then I was was transferred like the AF was, and I talked to the lady as well and they said because of the nature of your product we are no longer able to do business with you. What does that even mean? And then the other times I called back in they kept saying we can only ship to the address and billing address on file, I am like cool what is the hold up then? My information is that on the billing and shipping. Please send? *confused*

Great customer service.

I had some questions about shipping so I ended up placing my order the old fashioned way, with an operator. The guy who assisted me was very helpful and courteous. He took time to answer all of my questions and didn't make me feel rushed. It's nice when you can talk to a person and a company doesn't just push everything to their website. I will keep buying from Midway.

Customer for over 20 years

I'm writing because the reviews do not reflect my experience. I have been doing business with midway by net or snail mail for over 20 years. My experiences have always been good. Merchandise was as expected, prices were inline with other such companies, and service was outstanding.

Don't buy from midway

Don't buy from midway. Not only do they charge you 10 percent restocking fee for something that isn't your fault but they charge you shipping even though no where on their policies does it say that. Then they use excuses when you asked why you are being charged for shipping when it doesn't say anything about that on their return policy. especially when 3 employees told you before you returned it that since it wasn't your fault that you wouldn't be charge!

Absolutely the worst

Absolutely the worst. I placed an online order, received a confirmation from their CEO assuring me of fast shipping and 3 weeks later, no order. After calling found out I was flagged for a “quality review” and they said they couldn’t reach me by phone so cancelled the order. They had the correct number, but lied about calling, I checked messages and missed call log and nothing. Heads up Midway, we dont place orders online to talk on the PHONE! My payment was good, I got a confirmation, no need for a sketchy call. Their chat rep actually accused me of not providing the correct info, even though he quoted my exact phone number when I asked. Run don’t walk away from this company.

Unfair business practice

Unfair business practice. If you order two items and want to return 1, you must return both. No notice or disclosure of this until you try to return. Classic gotcha policy's.
Quality of items like gunsmith tools is Chinese terrible. Soft low quality steel bits snap off. Many other better company's to choose from.

Decline of a once good company.

I have dealt with Midway USA for many years and the experiences have been good and bad over the years but in the recent year their attention to customer care and service has dropped drastically. Apparently, the company has become so large they feel they no longer have to worry about customer care. My most recent order was lost in shipping (10 days) and the shipper (UPS) provided a case number but stated the shipper had to initiate the search. When I contacted Midway with this info they refused to do so until an additional 14 days had passed. SO, I have to wait at least 3 weeks to start the process on my lost package. In the meantime, I had to find and purchase the items elsewhere due to a deadline I had.

Arbitrarily stopped shipping magazines…

Arbitrarily stopped shipping magazines to Oregon.
Ballot Measure 114 has been put on LEGAL hold and has been since Dec 2022. Midway has taken it upon themselves to stop shipping any magazines, even those which would be legal under 114. Many other companies still do and I completed my purchase of .45 ACP 10 ROUND magazines elsewhere along with $1337 more for just one order. Spent thousands at Midway.. no more

I have purchased over the internet from…

I have purchased over the internet from Midway and received orders in three days. I go through customer service and they yank me around. To almost 7 days, what is the difference between the internet and customer service. Through tracking it's still parked in Kansas City. I'm only a hour away.

Midway is NOW Overpriced …

FOR OVER A YEAR NOW MIDWAY HAS BIDEN-LY INCREASED THEIR PRICES SO THEY ARE NOW ONE OF, IF NOT THE MOST EXPENSIVE PLACE TO BUY, AND THEY WON'T ANSWER WHY. THEY EVEN DROPPED THE FREE SHIPPING OFFERS... SHOP ELSE WHERE...AND THIS REMINDS ME WHO ELSE IS HIGH PRICED THESE BIDEN-DAYS,..YES WAL- MART IS WAY OVER PRICED ON A LOT OF GOODS..I'VE STOPPED SHOPPING THE WALOFCHINA MART IN 1996 AND SAVED A LOT OF MONEY AS WELL NOT BUYING JUNK AND INFERIOR GROCERIES

I ordered on 1-11-2024 late at night…

I ordered on 1-11-2024 late at night after hours, then on 1-12-2024 at 10:02 I get a text that my order was ready to ship. In this same email they offered a free frt starting 1-12-2024. I called them at 10:25am and Scott said I could not get it even if my package was in their warehouse as the order had cleared processing and was sorry for my inconvenance. So much for their customer service they advertise in their web sight

Multiple orders with no issues

Multiple orders with no issues. I just started ordering from Midwayusa.com this year. Thus far I placed 4 small orders for parts, and the process has been flawless, and the shipping was faster than I'd expect. Packages arrived on or before they were promised. Disappointing to read others have had bad experiences, and I'm hoping those are anomalies. I'll update my review if anything changes.
