Janhvi Kapoor has reacted to reports of her impending wedding with boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya. Recently, a paparazzi page on Instagram shared that Janhvi will tie the knot with Shikhar in Tirupati Temple in a gold saree. However, the actor was quick to shut down the rumours with a short but hilarious reply.
Reacting to the paparazzi post on Instagram, Janhvi commented, “Kuch bhi (What even).” Several fans reacted with laughing face emojis under Janhvi’s comment.
Janhvi Kapoor recently confirmed her relationship with Shikhar Pahariya. The actress attended the screening of her father Boney Kapoor’s production, Maidaan, wearing a customised necklace which had her boyfriend’s nickname “Shikhu” on it.
Earlier this year, during an episode of Koffee With Karan, Janhvi had mentioned her boyfriend Shikhar Pahariya AKA “shiku” as one of the three people on her speed-dial list. Host Karan Johar had asked Janhvi “to name three people on your speed-dial list.” Janhvi promptly replied, “Papa, Khushu and Shiku,” immediately realising the oopsie she made.
Janhvi Kapoor never shies away from expressing her fondness for Shikhar. Recently, her father and film producer, Boney Kapoor, also confirmed that the actress is in a romantic relationship with Shikhar. “I love him (Shikhar) and in fact, in between a couple of years back Janhvi was not seeing him but I was still friendly to him. I was convinced he can never be an ex. He’ll be around. When any person is there for you in any capacity whether it’s for me, whether it’s for Janhvi, whether it’s for Arjun, he is friendly to all. So I feel we’re blessed to have somebody like him in our set up,” Boney told Zoom.
Shikhar Pahariya is the grandson of politician and Maharashtra’s former Chief Minister Sushilkumar Shinde. Reportedly, Shikhar and Janhvi were in a serious relationship earlier but then broke up. The duo reportedly patched up last year. They are often spotted together. Shikhar has also posed for paps with Boney Kapoor and Arjun Kapoor on several occasions.
