Technology section?[edit]

Perhaps the article could use a section devoted to the software behind podcasting, e.g. distribution via XML-based RSS files to aggregators, the ecosystem of apps serving as streaming clients across different mobile devices, etc. I could help write it.🎶🎶 QRep2020 (talk) 23:23, 15 May 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

That sounds like it would be worthwhile. The only concern I see is that per WP:BALASP it should only take up a paragraph or two. If it needs more than that it should probably go in a separate article. Dan Bloch (talk) 02:22, 16 May 2022 (UTC)Reply[reply]

List of examples[edit]

The list of examples for fiction podcasts appears to be arbitrary and in violation of WP:LSC and WP:NPOV. Why were these particular podcasts selected and are there any reliable secondary sources grouping them together as examples of fiction podcasts? TipsyElephant (talk) 19:54, 9 January 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]

@TipsyElephant – Stand-alone-lists are articles that are just a list (e.g. List of Linux distributions), and LSC doesn't really apply to this page per se. Also recommended to go read what WP:NPOV actually says – that doesn't apply in this particular instance either. Arbitrariness is not only perfectly fine and acceptable here, but also standard practice across the project. -- dsprc [talk] 09:42, 23 August 2023 (UTC)Reply[reply]
