Very interesting, busy place, with interesting views of the port and very family oriented. People are bicycle riding and skating and it´s full of things, going on. It´s also a very clean and well kept area.
Only bad thing is the smell of some parts of the port

Worth the money $170 pesos (US $8.96). we went late afternoon and not very busy. Neat to see ocean creatures up close and not feel rushed to move out of another persons way. Sad the dolphins are nonlonger there which was a main draw for me, but still a relaxing time.

This incredible place has a lot of history very well explained will interest all ages and very good museography
    Modern museum on various topics
It is worth a visit, due to its modernity, its excellent setting, the palace where it is held is worth visiting with a giant world map on the floor of the central square of the building (covered). It has several rooms with different themes about the army and the different armed interventions that have taken place in Veracruz. Highly recommended.

It was a fun wax museum. Especially the terror area which many Mexicans seemed reluctant to enter. I was the only one I saw go through. Some of the people are very well done. Really went to that area for the Aquarium.

It is fantastic that people still keep these traditions alive. Seemingly simple but a dangerous feat for these men. Even going up the pole would be impossible for most of us much less falling head first slowly to the ground. Costumes are also very colourful and beautifully stitched. Very entertaining.

Slightly surreal experience as we were the only customers in the park the day that we visited but would fully recommend! Three members of staff followed us around for the day and turned the slides on and off depending on which one we wanted to use. The food facilities were also running and were excellent! Apparently this time of year there are often only a few customers a day so would recommend if you want the VIP treatment!

Our tour included El Tahin also. El Tahin was a spectacular ruins and on our way we stopped at Papantla-the city of Vanilla. This combo tour was worth it even if the trip was very long. The roads are not good.

The place is very nice if you go for the dunes. The dunes experience is very good and a lot of fun. The beach is nice but you may have a lot of people crossing with motorcycles and other vehicles and loud music from people with speakers at the beach together with many people selling all kind of food and stuff.

My recommendation, is to come here for the dunes and to eat something, you will have a great time and for bathing probably go to a different beach.

The bulwark seems out-of-place but it was on the waterfront when it was built centuries ago. The site is a short walk from the hotel that we stayed at on the Malecon. It was closed when we visited but we took some great photos of the exterior.

What I like about this Plaza de Armas is that a real public space used and enjoyed by the Veracruz community, which happens to also welcome visitors -- who can absorb a better sense of the community by walking around, stopping at a government building, at the cathedral, or at any of the restaurants/coffee shops facing the plaza. It's also great to look down upon it from several of the bordering hotels, the Colonial, say, or the Gran Hotel Diligencias. My favorite time is at nightfall when there are often beautiful performances of 'danzón', music and dance.

Early April 2019 my family (3 adults, my son, 12) was part of a large private Mexican group with a group reservation. We paid 300 pesos per person (about $ 16 USD, 14 Euro) for: about four hours in an inflatable raft with life vests and helmets, five passengers to a guide, and hot wrapped tamales and corn on the cob at the end, and a ride to the take-in and return to the parking. The guides also let us swim at several magic places, including a magnificent waterfall at the beginning, and those who wanted to, crossed the river on a zipline (safely and professionally aided). The rapids were really demanding and required good paddling and practice, and another boat capsized and all fell in the water, but my other two adults were experienced and prevented our boat from flipping. Sadly, some of our friends in the other boats fell on rocks, when their boat flipped. They wrote only our first names down at the beginning. (I am very happy this is not "America Liability Sue You Nation!", which puts an end to all fun and just pays lawyers and drives up the price...) All of my Mexican friends took it in stride and worked on their bruises later. I was the only non-Mexican lady, (I am German) plus, my family members are not Mexican. I experienced beautiful camaraderie, team spirit, hospitality, gratitude and community. I can very highly recommend this activity to experienced white-water rafters with a sense of adventure, who will accept responsibility for themselves. Along the river, we saw many locals in the water, and cows, other wildlife, rocks, waterfalls. Another river with warmer water merged with the Rio Filolobos. We totally loved this day out in the middle of nowhere off the grid floating down a clean, clear Mexican river. It brings us back to nature (for all those who are glued to social media and screens all the time).
