A Celebration of Academics

Holy Family Catholic High School is proud to celebrate academic excellence through its Academic Honors Day program, honoring students with exceptional achievements, including certificates, letters, pins, and cords for maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher across multiple semesters. During the ceremony, academic department awards also recognized exceptional dedication, participation, and scholarly engagement.

The ceremony opened with announcement and awarding of 294 academic awards. Holy Family Catholic High School awards academic honors for a 3.5 GPA or higher for one semester (certificate), three semesters (letter), five semesters (pin), and seven semesters (cords).  These 294 students were honored as part of the 2024 Academic Honors Day, along with students who received department-specific awards. Honored students are listed in the event program.

In addition, 125 students received department awards recognizing outstanding dedication to a subject matter as well as strong class participation. Students receiving these awards may stand out to their teachers with thoughtful responses in homework, classroom discussions, and projects, as well as a desire to dive deeply into course content. These awards are not based on GPA.

Following the department awards, the following students receiving national academic recognition were honored:
  • National Merit Finalist: Andrew Klawitter
  • AP Scholar with Distinction: William Hatfield
