Cynthia Nixon says oldest child has come out as transgender

Two days before the Gay Pride Parade, Cynthia Nixon on Friday announced that her first-born child has come out as transgender.

Formerly known as Samantha Mozes, Nixon’s child now identifies as Samuel or Seph.

“I’m so proud of my son Samuel Joseph Mozes (called Seph) who graduated college this month. I salute him and everyone else marking today’s #TransDayof Action, #TDOA,” Nixon wrote with an accompanying photo of the duo on instagram.

Seph, 22, recently graduated from the University of Chicago.

Seph is one two kids Nixon had with her former partner, Danny Mozes. The other is Charles, 15.

She married Christine Marinoni in 2012. They are the parents of a third child, Max, 7.

The announcement comes during the city’s annual Gay Pride weekend, with a parade on Sunday that starts on Fifth Avenue with 40,000 marchers anticipated.

The former “Sex and the City” star is challenging Gov. Cuomo in September’s Democratic primary.

She caused a stir Thursday by labeling US Immigration and Customs Enforcement a “terrorist organization” and, during a speech at a Manhattan Church, calling for its abolition.
