Lab is the twelfth and final numbered chapter in Piggy: Book 2 and the final numbered chapter of the entire game. This chapter marks the end of the Piggy storyline, and everything else will continue on into Piggy: Intercity. Distorted Piggy is the main bot for the entire chapter (for the normal endings), whilst TIO is the main bot of the hidden ending's second phase. The secondary bots in this chapter are Umbra and Sentinels. This chapter introduces new mechanics such as power switches and levers, and during the normal endings' distorted phase, weapons can be given to Willow and Tigry to fight each other. During the hidden ending's distorted phase, the Player boss-battles TIO. Puzzles need to be completed and weapons are needed to knock out hallucinations, and later, to knock out TIO himself.
Two days after this chapter was released, the Willow and Piggy (Distorted) skins were added as rewards for completing the Player's Journal. The following day, Silzous was added, and the next day, Sentinel was added as a reward for collecting all Book 1 pages. Six days later, the Hidden Ending was added, and on the following day, ??? was added as a reward for completing said ending.

Appearance
Normal Phase
It takes place at the Military Camp’s underground 2 story laboratory. There are gray hallways on the ground floor with cubes and white hallways on the bottom floor with red chairs and shelves, a big white experimental room which contains scientific equipment, a room which contains three holes that lead to the floor underneath the main floor, a room with the cure, a room with nine offices, separated with glass walls, and a big circular room located on both floors, which the bottom floor has a room with the lab’s auxiliary power. There are many dynamite sticks around the map as well, placed by Tigry.
Distorted Phase (Normal Endings)
It takes place in Player's mind, with Willow and Tigry fighting in the middle where a large Insolence eye is. There are also distorted versions of the Alleys, the Sewers, the Factory, and the Docks. Dark walls separate each distorted map.
Distorted Phase (Hidden Ending)
Lab's hidden ending's distorted phase has two parts. The first part has many puzzles and distorted versions of the Alleys, the Ship, the Docks, the Temple and the Camp. The second part appears to be a temple with torches hanging around the walls, as well as Insolence eyes all over the map. It has 2 levels, the first having distorted versions of the House, where Georgie is about to fall, and Distorted Piggy is about to attack him. Next is the City, where Pony is being attacked by his infected father. Lastly, is The Safe Place, where Zee is staring at an infected Zizzy. The second level consists of distorted versions of the Gallery, the Hospital and the Mall with uninfected versions of Doggy, Bunny, and Zizzy.
Storyline
Tigry Endings
The Player makes their way through the military lab, and then grabs the cure. Tigry thanks the Player for helping him to defeat Willow. Tigry also says that the Player can get the cure instead of him. The Player is first reluctant, but later agrees. On their way back to the elevator, they meet Pony. Suddenly, Tigry realizes that his charges are going off, and that they should head to the elevator immediately. However, Tigry gets stuck by a barrier himself, and the elevator is also barricaded. Pony then reveals that he was attacked at the Docks, and therefore is going to turn into an infected as well. Due to this, the Player forgives Pony. Suddenly, TIO appears in front of the Player. With no choice, the Player joins TIO, in order to save their friends. The credits starts to then roll in.
The Player makes their way through the military lab, and then grabs the cure. Tigry thanks the Player for helping him to defeat Willow. Tigry also says that the Player can get the cure instead of him. The Player is first reluctant, but later agrees. The Player then goes out of the lab, to the entrance of the camp, but then gets ambushed by Mary from behind, who scratches their leg. Pony, who is sitting against the trees, shoots Mary and jokes about how both of them are going to turn into the infected. However, as the Player has the cure, Pony suggests that the Player should use it on themselves. The Player then calls Pony crazy, and says that they are going to cure Pony. Pony then reveals that he infected Doggy at the forest, as he was instructed to do so by The Silver Paw. Not knowing what to say, the Player thought that Pony was good, and that he trusted him his whole life. Pony reminds the Player that he has the cure, so he can cure themselves. Pony himself says that this is the day he would be getting his payback for all he did in the past, and that he accepted this day would finally arrive. The Player apologizes to Pony and walks away. The credits then start to roll in.
Willow Endings
The Player makes their way through the military lab, and then grabs the cure. Willow thanks the Player for saving her, although she did not need it. The Player makes sure that she really didn't need help, since she looked like she was in trouble a while ago. Both start to get into a small argument, but eventually they set it out. The Player then reminds Willow to grab the cure before leaving. After exiting the lab and the camp, the Player finds Pony, sitting against a tree. The Player asks if Pony was okay, but Pony says that things used to be okay only before this infection, and that nothing's been okay since it started. Pony reveals that he is going to turn into the infected, since he was attacked at the Docks. The Player still does not believe Pony and asks him to get up, as they have to save Zizzy. However, Pony says that he can't even feel his legs anymore, and it's time the Player should cure Zizzy himself. From behind, Willow comes. Looking at the cure and Pony once more, she walks away. The Player suddenly remembers the cure is with Willow, but alas, couldn't find her. Pony already knows she is not coming and she went away for her own selfish reasons. The Player then falls, asking Pony if he was joking, and that this joke, was a terrible and twisted one. However, Pony says that he can lie all day, and the truth would only hurt more. Pony then asks the Player to do him one last favor; to take care of Georgie, Zee and Zuzy. Another favor Pony asks the Player to do is to cheer up, since they have come this far. Pony admits that without the Player, he couldn't have gone this far. The Player stands up again, and says that they would miss Pony. Pony also will miss the Player, but at the bright side, he says that he doesn't need to miss Zizzy anymore, and considers himself lucky. The Player agrees, and hopes to see Pony some time again. The Player then walks away, and the credits then start to roll in.

Pony asks Willow if this is some sort of sick trick she's doing, but Willow does say that it would be a trick if Pony doesn't take the cure. Pony thanks Willow, but asks her why she didn't want to cure the ones she wanted to. Although Willow hates to admits it, she says that Pony is necessary. Pony says that that was the nicest thing Willow ever said to him. Willow agrees, and says that it will be that way. Suddenly, Mimi and, Georgie, Giraffy, Zee and Zuzy arrive. Giraffy exclaims that he is happy to see everyone again, and he reveals that via his radio, he contacted Mimi, since he felt much better, and went across the ocean with the help of The Silver Paw. Mimi apologizes for leaving Willow, Pony and the Player since they had to get Giraffy. Georgie asks if the Player found the cure. Not wanting to admit the truth, Willow says that the cure was crushed under the rubble. Zuzy sadly asks if they can't save Zizzy in that case. Pony goes to Zuzy and says that it would be hard moving forward, but Zizzy would've wanted Zuzy to stay strong. Zuzy agrees that she would miss Zizzy, but Zizzy taught her to be tough and strong. Giraffy then says that maybe sometime, another cure would be made, and Mimi agrees to him, since the scientists were able to make one now. The Player then remembers that since Kona was studying the infected, he could help the group make their own cure. He also suggests grabbing any files from the military lab. Mimi says that that if for a brighter future, when suddenly, Georgie realizes and asks where is Willow. The credits then start to roll in.
Hidden Ending
The Player finds a radio and therefore asks Mimi to do her magic and get the radio working, while the Player continues to find the cure. Soon, the Player finds the room with the cure, where Willow and Tigry are fighting. The Player starts shouting at Willow to stop fighting, and that if she were to be that angry, then she should rather show her hatred on the infected. Tigry starts to mention how both him and Willow are alike, since they both keep their pain buried in themselves. Tigry also mentions how both of them are separated from their families and friends, and that when they first met, and when Tigry talked to Willow about how he felt, Willow never interrupted, and that he wished they could go back to those times. Suddenly, Mimi interrupts the talk, and asks everyone to come outside to check something, and they see a military jet, named the Osprey, landing.
Sgt. Monroe then starts talking how they arrived, and starts to get confused on how to begin with Tigry, who was once a part of the Military, but deserted them, and Willow, an infamous criminal. The Player mentions them having the cure, and Sgt. Monroe sighs on how out of all their outposts, this one was wiped out. Suddenly, a bunch of infected appear behind the Player and the rest of the group. Sgt. Monroe orders his team to start shooting the infected, when the Player is brought into their mind with ???.
??? mentions his disappointment about the Player, and when the Player is about to interrupt ???, ??? reveals his name is TIO, and he is also called as The Entity, The Insolent and The Iniquitous One. TIO starts to talk about how the Player didn't heed to TIO's warning to follow the current path, since TIO is trying to 'save' everyone from themselves. TIO also mentions that free will is destructive, and free will is also what has destroyed the entire world, since Mr. P has destroyed the world due to free will, and that the cure will cause thousands of survivors to fight over it for their loved ones, and that many will lose in the battle. What the Player is doing with the cure, TIO says that the Player is causing a grand war in the entire world, and the grand war will not be with the infected, but with the player's own brothers and sisters; survivors of the infection, hoping to cure their families and friends.
The Player disagrees with TIO, saying that the cure is hope for the future, and that it will cause the world to slowly retain it's place like how it was prior to the infection. TIO starts to get angry, since in his opinion the Player is too oblivious and cannot foresee the destruction of the future, and that TIO has no choice but to take out the Player. TIO then starts to turn into his distorted form, and the player, Pony, Georgie and Zee are brought into TIO's distortion. The Player does puzzles in the distorted versions of the Alleys, Ship, Docks, Temple and Camp. Another distortion comes over the Player, where hallucinations start to appear.
Pony is being attacked by his infected father, Peter, at the distorted City. At the distorted House, Georgie is about to fall from a high place, and below him is his distorted sister, Penny. At the distorted Safe Place, Zee is staring at an infected Zizzy. After giving weapons to each of them to knock out the hallucinations, the Player thinks of an idea that, since the Player is in his memories, then they can use those memories against TIO, and then boss-battles TIO. The Player goes up to the 2nd level containing distorted versions of the Gallery, the Hospital, and the Mall. The Player gives weapons to memories of Bunny, Doggy and Zizzy to knock out TIO, while being chased by other memories created by TIO to stop the Player. After being knocked out by the memories created by the player, TIO is defeated, and the Player is brought back to reality.
Sgt. Monroe and his team has defeated the infected, and then Pony and Georgie congratulate the Player for defeating TIO. Willow apologizes to Tigry for hurting him, and he agrees that Willow has hurt him a lot. Willow explains that she was so caught up in getting revenge, that she wasn't thinking about her actions, and that if she really wanted to feel the way she did, she would have to go back to the past for a better future. Tigry forgives Willow, and Willow says that since The Military won't let both of them go with them, she suggests travelling around the world, and she'd even allow Tigry to be the leader of this. Tigry then says that he just wanted to have a say, and not be a leader. The Player asks if this is goodbye, but Willow says that it's never goodbye. She also thanks the Player for making her realize that in her pursuit for revenge, she pushed others close to her further from her. Willow and Tigry then leave, and everyone goes along with the Military to find Giraffy.
In the post-credits scene, the remaining Safe Place members are gathered at Kona's base, and the camera focuses on Pony, the Player, and an uninfected Zizzy. Pony complains about the price of carrots, and Zizzy replies suggesting that he grow a carrot farm, to which Pony thinks twice about the price. The camera then zooms out, and into a mysterious void, suggesting that TIO may not be dead after all.

Tigry: I came all this way to save a friend. Little did I know, a new friend would end up saving me. So take it.
Anonymous User: I don't know what to say, besides thank you, Tigry.
Tigry: Save your thanks.
Anonymous User: I'm going to find the others, are you coming with me?
Tigry: I guess so. You've proven to me that sticking together can be real helpful. Let me grab the cure and let's go.
Anonymous User: Sounds good to me.
(Anonymous User and Tigry goes into the entrance of the elevator to meet Pony)
Anonymous User: Hey Pony, have you seen the others?
Pony: Nope, my guess is they went back outside for some reason, because the elevator cart doesn't seem to be on this floor.
(explosion)
Tigry: My charges... we need to get out of here. Get to the elevator!
(The rubble falls and traps Tigry)
Anonymous User: Tigry!
Pony: The cure!
(Another rubble falls and barricaded the elevator)
Anonymous User: No! We're trapped!
Pony: ... I was hoping to at least feel fresh air before I turned.
Anonymous User: Before you... what?
Pony: Sorry, Anonymous User. You're trapped in here with an infected.
Anonymous User: No, stop it. You're messing with me. Get up, let's find a way out of here!
Pony: I can't, Anonymous User. I was attacked at the docks. I thought I could fight it off, but here I am... I can't even move my legs anymore.
Anonymous User: That's fine, I'll carry you out of here if that's what it takes.
Pony: I don't think you understand... I'm infected. I'm not getting out of here, even if there was a way out.
Anonymous User: I can't just leave you like this... You can't go, not now!
Pony: It's my time. I've had lots of fun going on these ridiculous adventures with you, *Anonymous User.
Anonymous User: Despite everything you've done... I forgive you, Pony. I forgive you for it all.
Pony: It's going to take much more than your forgiveness for me to forgive myself.
Pony: ... Isn't it crazy how far we've gotten? I mean, look at this. We were so close, we were almost there, weren't we?
Anonymous User: Yeah...
Pony: Well, at least... At least I get the honor of spending my last moments by your side.

(TIO appears out of thin air. Anonymous User then walks to TIO)

(An infected attacked Anonymous User from the ground)
Anonymous User: Ow!
(Pony shoots the infected)
Pony: Looks like you're infected, too.
Anonymous User: I...
Pony: We're goners, Anonymous User. Use the cure while you still can.
Anonymous User: Are you crazy?! What about you, you're just gonna let yourself turn like that?!
Pony: I need to tell you something, and there's no real easy way of saying this... I infected your police friend.
Anonymous User: Wait, wait, wait... slow down, you did what?!
Pony: I don't... have much longer, so i have to get it off my chest as soon as i can.
Pony: Back when I was in The Silver Paw. I was forced to give one of the faulty potions to a police officer named Doggy.
Pony: I was reluctant to do it, but Willow threatened me to. I had no say. That is what made me leave.
Anonymous User: I... I don't know what to say, or how to feel... I trusted you with my life, Pony...
Pony: Go, escape with the cure now. You still have a chance to make it out of this alive, so take it before thinking about it.
Pony: Today is the day that I get payback for all of the harm that I've done. I've accepted this day would come.
Pony: You did not deserve to be left in the dark about such a secret. You deserve to live.
Anonymous User: I'm... I'm sorry, Pony.
(Anonymous User walks away)
Pony: Good luck, Anonymous User. We almost made it, didn't we...?
Willow: Thanks for the help, but I probably didn't need it.
Willow: I could have totally knocked him out on my own.
Anonymous User: It looked like you were getting into a little trouble there. Are you sure you didn't need my help?
Willow: Look, I gave you my thanks. I don't know what more you want from me, buddy.
Anonymous User: How about an essay as an apology?
Willow: Alright, now you're pushing it.
Anonymous User: Is Tigry going to be okay?
Willow: He'll be fine, I'm sure. I don't think he'll wake up until after we're gone, though.
Anonymous User: Let's just grab the cure and go meet up with Pony. Are you tagging along?

(Anonymous User goes out of the Lab and meets Pony)

Pony: I was infected, Anonymous User. I was attacked at the docks.

Pony: I can't feel my legs anymore. Looks like you're gonna have to do it yourself...
(Willow looks at the cure, and runs away)
Anonymous User: Wait... the cure! Willow's got it, we can give it to you! Where is she?
Pony: She's not coming, Anonymous User. You and I both know that.
Anonymous User: This is all just a joke right? Tell me this is a joke. A terrible, twisted joke.
Pony: I can sit here and lie to you all I want, but it'll only make the truth hurt more.
Pony: Can you do me... one last favour? Take good care of the kids. They'll need you.

(The player walks towards the cure room. Willow and Tigry are already there, however they aren't fighting.)
Tigry: Finish it.
Anonymous User: Willow, stop! If you really have been suffering, then direct your anger towards the infected!
Anonymous User: Taking each other out like this is not how we survive. We help each other out, that's how we survive.
Anonymous User: At the factory, you were so focused on getting revenge that you couldn't see everyone in trouble.
Anonymous User: You want to make a difference? Start by stopping this.
Tigry: You and I are alike, Willow... we keep our pain buried inside.
Tigry: We both are alone, separated from our friends and family.
Tigry: When we first met, you listened to me. I talked endlessly about how I felt, but you never interrupted, you listened.
Tigry: I wish we could go back to the way things were.
Mimi: Sorry to interrupt whatever's going on, but you're going to want to come see this!
(The Safe Place group, Willow, and Tigry go outside, and see a helicopter, called the Osprey, land.)
Sgt. Monroe: Look at what we've got here... a distress call sent by civilians.
Sgt. Monroe: Among them, a deserter and a criminal. Where do I even begin?
Anonymous User: We have the cure.
Sgt. Monroe: So I've heard. It's shame that, of all outposts, this one was wiped out. It's almost like something tried to stop it.
(A bunch of infected come up from the ground, attempting to stop them)
Sgt. Monroe: Just when I thought I couldn't hate my job anymore.
Sgt. Monroe: Ready weapons!
(Anonymous User's screen flashes and they appear in the black room again with TIO looking away from them)
???: I must say, I'm rather disappointed in you, Anonymous User.
Anonymous User: You again? Listen, you...
TIO: TIO. That's my name. Or, at least, what I am called. I am also called "The Entity", 'The Insolent', 'The Iniquitous One'...
TIO: I warned you not to follow this path. I am trying to save everyone from themselves, can't you see that?

(TIO turns into his distorted form, with his hands appearing out of the black hole first)

Pony: Anonymous User, Georgie, Zee... Can you hear me? That thing brought us to our memories. It's using our mind against us. What you see now isn't real... resist it!
(After saving George, Zee, and Pony)
Anonymous User: Wait... If I'm in my memories, then maybe I can use them against that monster! Bring it on.
(After defeating TIO)
TIO: YOU... BUFFOON... WHY?!
(Anonymous User's screen flashes back to the outside world)
Sgt. Monroe: Well, that should do it! Well done everyone!
Sgt. Monroe: Now, let's have a look at that cure, shall we?
Pony: Thank you for helping us out there, Anonymous User. He's brought me in places like that before, but he's never been that aggressive...
Georgie: Yeah. My sister... He got what was coming to him.
Anonymous User: I'm happy to have helped. None of you deserved to go through that.
Willow: Tigry, I need to talk to you. I'm... sorry for what I've done. Which is... quite a lot, if I'm being honest.
Tigry: Yeah, no kidding.. You hurt me, Willow.
Willow: I got so caught up in getting revenge, I wasn't thinking about the things I was saying and doing to those close to me.
Willow: If I want to feel the way I did back then, I need to let go of the past and make a better future for myself.
Tigry: Willow... despite everything you've done, I'm willing to give you another chance. You're family, after all.
Tigry: Just... don't mess up this time. This is the last chance I'm giving you.
Willow: Well, since I'm sure the military is not gonna let us come with them, what do you say we travel on our own? I'll let you call the shots this time.
Tigry: I don't want to be in charge, I just want to have a say.
Willow: Whatever you say, tiger.
Anonymous User: So... is this goodbye?
Willow: Never goodbye. And... Thanks for making my realize that in my pursuit for revenge, I've only been pushing other away from me.
Willow: But... it was losing other that fueled that revenge in the first place.
Anonymous User: Try not to cause any trouble out there, alright?
Willow: No promises, officer. Good luck with saving your friends.
Sgt. Monroe: Alright ladies, let's get moving! We've got a mission to complete!
(After the end credits, The Safe Place members are shown staying at Kona's house with an uninfected Zizzy)
Pony: Can you actually believe this? The price of carrots just skyrocketed!
Zizzy: Hmm... What about growing a carrot garden?

Trivia
- This is the only chapter in Piggy where there is no starting cutscene.
- On Twitter, before this chapter released, Piggy_News asked MiniToon for how many bots were going after the Player in this map, and MiniToon replied saying, "yes", meaning that there might've been a chance that there was more than one bot for this map.
- In the first phase of the chapter, there are two bots; Distorted Piggy and Umbra. In the second phase, there are three Sentinels; a green one, a blue one, and a red one. Each area unlocked will spawn a Sentinel in the hallway of the respective memory area when their item is used.
- In the hidden phase, TIO is the main bot, and White and Black Sentinels appear as secondary bots.
- There was also a scrapped bot, Payton, planned, however he was scrapped because MiniToon said the chapter was already hard.
- Umbra’s hitbox used to be quite buggy and it couldn't kill you a lot of the time. This is because the hitbox was inside of the torso even though it usually touches the Player with it's head. This was later fixed.
- This chapter confirms that Pony was attacked at the Docks by Markus, and is about to turn into an infected.
- This is unless you achieved the Hidden or Willow Savior endings, where Pony doesn't get hit by Markus in the former, and Willow uses the cure on Pony in the latter.
- This chapter was originally planned to release on October 23rd, 2021. But it was delayed due to MiniToon moving houses.
- Coincidentally, it is the exact reason why Plant was delayed too.
- The badges were designed by DerpyDervee.
- When first released, there was a bug where the map couldn’t be completed as there was an invisible wall blocking the exit door.
- In the song "Let Go," there is a part of the lyrics, "These shackles of lost time." Alongside an image that MiniToon leaked was a caption that read "Shackles of Lost Time," which directly alluded to the song that can be heard during the Hidden Ending.
- The helicopter that HannahB458 modeled is called "The Osprey".
- This is the third map to not have a skin be added on release date along with the chapter, the first being Distorted Memory (The skins came the day before), the second being Heist (The skin came the day after) and the fourth being Breakout (The skin came the day after).
- It's confirmed that any of the endings can be viewed as the canon ending/timeline to the whole story, and that none of them will matter in Piggy: Intercity.
- The map was supposed to have a secondary bot called Payton in the first phase, but this idea was scrapped because MiniToon thought the map was already hard enough without him. However, Payton's model can still be found outside of the map.
- The end cutscenes were bugged and couldn't be seen as only camera movements, dialogue, and some models and objects the were not affected by gravity would appear. The map and most characters would not be seen.
- This also used to happen to City and Plant.
- It is possible to open the door to the cure before opening the blue keycard door.
- This can be done by looking through the holes in the floor.
- Lab was the last chapter to be released in 2021.
