It was really pretty overall, everything was good but also below what it promised. Food was nicely plated and the menu was varied, but my shrimps were not exceptional; the baked feta was too sweet; the bolognese wasn't seasoned enough and the taro chips were a little too salty. Cocktail was amazing, took 2 of it; wine wasn't the most suitable for its paired plate. Our server was amazing, but seemed preoccupied by something else. Will not blame it on her, she made our night better. Decorations were impressive in the dining hall, but the washrooms were chaotic, like a busy nightclub's. Overall gave a 4/5, it's worth the try once mostly for the decor, but food wise we'll probably go elsewhere.

The place is so beautiful and the ambiance is great! Ottawa needs more places like that. Cocktails are excellent! But while they invested a lot in the place from architecture to ambiance why bother investing in a good chef and change the food , food is so expensive and that’s fine but the taste is 0 we ordered 3 main dishes ans 3 appetizers and all of them where way less then average, i definitely recommend the place but for drinks on the bar and not for dinner!

The best part of the food was the complimentary tuna tartare with avocado crema that was sent out ahead of our dishes. The scallops my wife had were a bit over cooked, and the "salad" it came with was tasteless. The prime rib I ordered medium rare was over cooked in some parts, under in others and just right for about a 1/3 of the cut. I was expected above average food, based on the prices and the vibe of the restaurant, however it was average at best. The ambiance was fantastic from a distance, but up close it was easy to see some corners had been cut (obvious branch glue on the fake olive tree inside, the obvious vinyl wrap for the accent wall that was to appear like marble, fake flowers at each table, salt and pepper shakers on tables) - these made the up close aesthetics appear cheap and not at all in line with the upper class vibe the restaurant carriers. Not a bad experience by any means, but certainly not great either, and for the food quality - way overpriced.

There were four of us to celebrate two milestone birthdays. Service was timely, professional, courteous and pleasant. Our server knew the drinks and food menu very well and could answer all our questions. There was a lot of attention paid to my being celiac and all proper accommodations were made. The decor and ambiance were perfect and at one point we commented that it felt just like the nice restaurants we went to in New York City. The discussion with the owner at the end of our meal added a really nice touch to the evening and the four of us thought it was very classy for him to offer us drinks on the house. We will definitely celebrate other events there and will recommend the restaurant to our friends and family.

It completely exceeded our expectations. We felt like we were in NYC. Our server Amanda was amazing. So friendly and gave the best service. The food was exceptional, we will definitely be back and will be telling all our friends of our awesome experience. 5 stars!
