Amel is looking for a Social Counseling Referral to support the implementation of the livelihood and agricultural project in Tyre district. The full-time Social Counseling Referral will work in close coordination with Amel team, and more specifically with the GBV social worker. 

Brief Description of the Project: 

Amel Association International (Amel) is a Lebanese and non-sectarian NGO created in 1979. Amel works through 30 centers, 6 mobile medical units, 2 mobile education units and 2 protection units, and for more than 44 years has supported the poorest regions of Lebanon, from Beirut and its South Suburbs to Mount Lebanon, Bekaa and South Lebanon. Amel offers accessible services for all in the following fields: food security, health, education, protection, child protection, women empowerment, livelihood, promotion and protection of human rights, rural development among others.

Crisis affected women in the south of Lebanon increase resilience through access to emergency livelihood and protection services. This project aims at ensuring livelihood, protection, and MHPSS activities to crisis affected women and girls across all represented social groups (Lebanese, Syrian, Palestinian, and migrant
women) and religious communities in Tyre (Sour). The project outlines a multi-faceted approach that addresses ecological farming, social intervention, cooperative work, regenerative agriculture, seedling production, biodiversity restoration, food processing, and circular economy practices. The main activities of the project are:
- Training girls and women on agricultural practices.
- Cash for work.
- Training girls and women on food processing.
- PSS and GBV awareness sessions.
- Raising awareness in the community.

Tasks, Responsbilibites and Duties: 

- Support with the outreach and Registration;
- Act as a primary focal point for receiving individual referrals for persons of concern from shelters, host communities, Amel and other partners;
- Channel the cases received through the appropriate specialized health services and provide feedback to the referring organization as needed on the referral outcome;
- Ensure close follow up on all managed cases, until access is ensured, to the extent feasible;
- Keep track of cases referred in a tracking sheet, that would allow relevant data extraction, and make sure it is regularly updated;
- Coordinate with relevant colleagues at Amel (CP, GBV, Health, etc.);
- Advocate with the relevant stakeholders to ensure access;
- Report to Amel Focal point on any issues to address the needs of the POC;
- Report to the GBV social worker and project coordinator on a weekly/monthly basis;
- Ensure knowledge and understanding of the relevant referral pathways and SOPs;
- Ensure confidentiality of the information of POCs;
- Participate in regular meeting with Amel team, and other organizations, when needed;
- Any other related tasks.

Requirements, Qualifications and Skills: 
- Bachelor degree in social work or any other relevant field with relevant work experience in referrals and case management.
- 1 year of relevant experience, previous experience in an NGO and humanitarian field is an advantage.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills
- To believe in concepts of equity, human rights, neutrality and impartiality.
- Commitment to Amel Association’s values and Code of Conduct
- Respect people privacy and ensure confidentiality of the information shares.
- MS office proficiency
- Reporting skills
