1.Version History

Version 1.51 - I must thank SSJGogeta38 once again for helping me with the names
in the game. Polar Bear has been changed to Tora, Metal Samurai has been changed
to Shogun and Metal Warrior has been changed to General Tragg - 6/27/2004

Version 1.5 - I've been informed - and discovered on my own - that some of the
facts in this FAQ were wrong. Namely, Beebop and Rocksteady were switched
(thanks to SSJGogeta38 for that), Doctor Backman is actually Doctor Baxter, and
there was a minor error under the mouser section - 4/30/2004

Version 1.4 - Big update today. Added the Foot Soldier Attacks section. Also
added to the enemy list tigers, ninjas, freeze sprayers, and spears. Added to
the boss list Metal Samurai, Metal Soldier, Brain, and Shredder - 9/7/2002

Version 1.3 - Added spear and bomb weapons for the Purple and Red Soldiers.
Also added Mini-choppers, Lasers, Laser Dogs, and Hanging Guns to the enemy
list and Metal Warrior to the Boss list - 9/6/2002

Version 1.2 - Added White Soldier, Mousers, Tentacles and Snowmen to the
enemy list. Also completed the Attack List - 9/5/2002

Version 1.1 - Added more info on Blue Soldier. Also added Beebop, Rocksteady,
Dr.Backman, Polar Bear and Dr.Backman: Fly Form - 9/4/2002

Version 1.0 - Added Purple, Blue, Red and Yellow soldiers to list. Made table
of contents - 9/3/2002

2.Attack List

i. Your attacks

Weapon Attack
How to Use - Press B
Effect - Your weapon is swung at the enemy. It does one hit worth of damage.
Depending on which turtle you chose, the weapon will be different. The
differences in the attacks aren't too big, but I will go over them:
Donnatello's Weapon - Quarterstaff (big stick), has the longest range and
takes the longest to use.
Leonardo's Weapon - Sword (sharp stick), has the second shortest range and is
the second quickest to use.
Michaelangelo's Weapon - Nun-chucks (swinging stick), has the second longest
range and is the second longest to use.
Raphael's Weapon - Lance (pointy stick), has the shortest range and can be
used the fastest.

Jump-Kick
How to Use - Press A to jump and then press B
Effect - You fly diagonally downwards at the enemy. You'll be using this
attack the most, because of its not only a weapon but also a convenient
method of dodging enemy attacks. It does one hit worth of damage.

Slash Attack
How to Use - This is tricky. Jump and quickly press B before you start to
roll in mid-air
Effect - This move has improves your range slightly and does two hits worth
of damage instead of one. But it's very difficult to use, so I wouldn't
advise relying on it too frequently. To get a better understanding of how to
perform this move, jump and quickly pause the game. You'll notice that the
turtles dive straight up before rolling in mid-air. You have to hit the B
button during this upward dive to use the slash attack.

ii. Improvised Weapons

Whenever you see a pylon or a sign on the screen, hit it! These things will
fly across the screen, destroying any enemy (or ally) in its path! Such
weapons are:

Pylons
Street signs
Parking Meters
Fire Hydrants
Ashtrays
Candlesticks

And basically anything else like that.

iii. Things that go BOOM!

There are certain weapons like the improvised weapons that can be used to
destroy enemies, but aren't quite as "safe". I'm talking about explosives.
When you hit certain objects, you'll get a short warning (i.e. a fuse lights)
and then the object blows up, not only heavily damaging anything around it
(including yourself - watch out!) but also sending them flying. The two best
examples of this are gas tanks and propane tanks, but there are others.

iv. Foot Soldier Attacks

The foot soldiers are the main enemy in the game. They appear more than any
other enemy does and are more threatening than most. Their attacks usually
depend on their weapons, but there are certain attacks that they will almost
always have. They are:

Punch - A simple punch. Three of these hits can take off one point of health.
Not much to worry about. If an enemy is carrying a visible weapon (spear,
sword, etc.), then they will use the weapon instead of a punch for a slightly
more damaging attack.

Headlock - You get pulled into a headlock by a soldier. Drains one point of
health for each second you're held in the headlock. Tap A and B rapidly to
escape. To avoid this, don't let yourself get stuck between two soldiers.
Also stay close to them for too long. Soldiers carrying bombs, sledgehammers,
machine guns, or spears can't use this attack.

Kick - The soldier jumps at you with his/her feet aimed to hit you. Causes
minor damage. Soldiers carrying bombs, sledgehammers, machine guns, or spears
can't use this attack.

Any other attacks will be listed for the specific soldier.

3.Enemy List
***************

*Note: Enemies are listed in order of difficulty to defeat/avoid

How to use this Enemy List:

Enemies Name

Weapons - The weapons and attacks the enemy has
Strength - How many hits it will take to kill this enemy. Immortal means this
enemy can't be killed (but immortal enemies tend to be easy to avoid)
Notes - Methods of destroying these enemies and dodging their attacks.

***************
Mousers

Weapons - Teeth: The mouser's only attack. Mouser latches onto you, drains
a bit of your health, and releases.
Strength - Weak (2 hits)
Notes - Weaklings. There's no real strategy here. Just whack 'em.

***************
Tentacles

Weapons - None
Strength - Immortal
Notes - They hang from the ceiling and do minor damage to you if you touch
them. Walking around them is easy enough.

***************
Lasers

Weapons - Shoot: The laser shoots (duh). Causes medium damage.
Strength - Immortal
Notes - These are fixed in some walls and shoot periodically. Jump over them,
or walk around if you can.

***************
Spears

Weapons - None
Strength - Immortal
Notes - Similar to the tentacle, except they attack you from below instead of
above. Also, they shoot out of the floors and will usually catch you by
surprise. Aim your jumps carefully when trying to get past them.

***************
Freeze Sprayers

Weapons - Spray: The Freeze sprayer sprays you and freezes you. Causes minor
damage.
Strength - Immortal
Notes - They pop out of the floor in certain parts of the Technodome Stage,
so just keep jumping while you walk in that stage. If one pops up, you can be
sure a few more will be nearby.

***************
Purple Soldier

Weapons - Firecracker: Projectile weapon. Explodes on contact with the
ground. Causes minor Damage. Throwing Stars: Projectile weapons. Can be
blocked using weapon. Causes minor damage. Spears: The soldier carries a
spear used to stab you or throw at you. Causes minor damage either way.
Strength - Weak (2 hits)
Notes - They appear usually in groups of 3-5 at a time. Just beat the crap
out of them and jump over their attacks.

***************
Blue Soldier

Weapons - Throwing Knife: Projectile weapon. Can be blocked using weapon.
Causes minor damage. In the Frozen City Stage, his throwing knife is a
snowball with all the same stats.
Strength - Weak (2 hits)
Notes - A bit more powerful than the Purple Soldiers, but these guys aren't
much harder.

***************
Wheel-bots

Weapons - Electric Wire: Wheel-bots shoot out a cord that shocks you. Causes
minor damage and temporarily freezes you. Laser: Wheel-bot shoots you with a
laser beam. Causes minor damage.
Strength - Heavy (6 hits)
Notes - They usually appear in groups of three, and not as often as other
enemies. To say the least, they're too fast for their own good. They move so
quickly that they're hard to hit, but they also have a hard time hitting you.
They'll sometimes stop and attack even if you're not close to them. When they
do that, you hit them.

***************
Yellow Soldier

Weapons - Boomerang: Projectile weapon. Moves halfway across the screen,
turns around and moves back until it reaches the soldier who threw it. Can be
blocked using weapon. Causes minor damage.
Strength - Weak (2 hits)
Notes - The boomerang can be quite a pain to dodge. Unless you can jump
rapidly, move out of the boomerangs path. Fortunately, when a soldier throws
his boomerang, he can move, leaving him open to attack.

***************
White Soldier

Weapons - Sword: The White soldier always carries this weapon. Used either to
jump and lunge downward at you or stab with. Causes minor damage.
Strength - Weak (2 hits)
Notes - The only soldiers with a decent jumping attack. Their swords make it
more difficult to jump-kick them when their on the ground, but when they're
in the air it's easy. Use slash attacks when they're on the ground. Don't
bother with weapon attacks here, they can get in an easy hit after a weapon
attack unless it's fatal.

***************
Red Soldier

Weapons - Machine Gun: Fire a series of shots in a short distance in front of
the soldier. Causes minor damage and throws you back.
Sledgehammer: Swung in front of the soldier. Has a short range. Causes minor
damage and throws you back. Bomb: The soldier throws a bomb he is carrying at
you. Causes medium damage. Is destroyed after thrown.
Strength - Weak (2 hits)
Notes - If this soldier has a sledgehammer, you're in luck. It's damaging if
you're hit, but it's easy to dodge. Plus, when they attack, they need a few
seconds to pull their hammers back, leaving them open to your attacks. If
they have machine guns, you're not so lucky. They have a similar weak point;
they leave themselves open when attacking. But they're weakness doesn't last
as long as the ones with sledgehammers. Plus, they can sometimes knock you
away when you try to jump-kick them. Get in close, jump when they attack then
either jump-kick or slash-attack them before they recover. As for the bomb-
carriers, either move around until they throw the bomb (and you dodge), or
jump-kick them, forcing them to drop the bomb.

***************
Ninjas

Weapons - Punch: The thug punches you. Causes minor damage. Knife Throw: The
thug jumps, then throws knife downwards.
Strength - Weak (3 hits)
Notes - Not particularly difficult once you've practised against the more
difficult enemies. Jump kick them while their in the air, and slash-attack
them on the ground. The knife throw attack is easy to dodge simply by
continually jumping.

***************
Snowmen

Weapons - Claw: Snowmen swing their "fists" at you. Causes minor damage.
Seeker missiles: Snowmen fire missiles that follow you until they hit you.
Causes medium damage.
Strength - Medium (4 hits)
Notes - Your best chances of beating these guys is to pin them against the
side of the screen and beat them to death. Their missiles can be destroyed
but only using your weapon. As for dodging the missiles, try to jump away,
keeping the missiles moving until they blow up on their own.

***************
Tigers

Weapons - Charge: The tiger runs into you. Causes minor damage
Strength - Heavy (11 hits)
Notes - The tiger will run off screen, then run back on screen frequently.
Try to hit it by predicting which part of the screen it will run from next.
Then stand there and hit it when it gets close to you. It will jump back,
then continue running. If you're lucky, you can get two or three hits by
hitting him after he's been knocked back. But if you want to play it safe and
dodge, the best way is to jump when he gets close to you. Moving doesn't work
as well, because he'll move to chase after you after you've hit him. Also
note that you can tell when you'll have to fight one of these tigers if
there's a picture of a tiger on the wall.

***************
Laser Dogs

Weapons - Laser: The laser-dog shoots a laser at you. Causes medium damage.
Strength - Weak (2 hits)
Notes - Despite being tiny, these are a threat. Their lasers make it nearly
impossible to attack them from the front without taking damage, so I'd
suggest jump-kicking over them so you land directly behind them, then turn
around and use a weapon attack.

***************
Hanging Gun

Weapons - Shoot: The hanging gun shoots a rapid barrage of shots at you.
Causes minor damage, but there are a lot of them.
Strength - Medium (5 hits)
Notes - Keep jumping to avoid the shots, then get behind them and use weapon
attacks. It's much easier said than done. For one thing, the shots can knock
you back if you get hit too much. Also be aware that they sometimes appear in
pairs, so you have to get behind both to beat them safely.

***************
Mini-choppers

Weapons - Machine Gun: Mini-choppers shoot diagonally downwards at you.
Causes medium damage. Bomb drop: Mini-choppers drop a series of weak bombs
below them. Causes minor damage.
Strength - Medium (6 hits)
Notes - They're only vulnerable to the jump-kick and slash attack. Getting
behind them where their machine guns can't hit you is a good method, if you
can keep jumping away from their bombs.

Boss List
***************
How to use this Boss List

Boss's Name

Attacks - The methods of hurting you available to this boss
Strength - How much damage it will take to kill this boss
Where he/she/it is - Where this boss is
Difficulty - How hard is this boss, rated from one star (easy) to five stars
(hard)
Notes - Anything else you should know about this boss

***************
Rocksteady

Attacks - Punch: Rocksteady swings his hand at you. Causes minor damage. Machine
Gun: Rocksteady rapidly fires his gun at you. Can be shot straight forward or
diagonally-upwards. Bodycheck: Rocksteady runs across the room and hits you with
his shoulder. Causes minor damage and throws you back.
Strength - Weak (23 hits)
Where he/she/it is - End of Apartment Stage
Difficulty - **
Notes - His machine gun is his most powerful weapon, only because it can stop
your jump-kicks. So, use your weapon attack whenever possible. You may be
able to get in a few jump-kicks too, if you time them right.

***************
Beebop

Attacks - Punch: Beebop swings his hand at you. Causes minor damage.
Laser Gun: Beebop rapidly fires his gun at you. Shoots straightforward.
Bodycheck: Beebop runs across the room and hits you with his shoulder. Causes
minor damage and throws you back.
Strength - Weak (28 hits)
Where he/she/it is - End of Street Stage
Difficulty - ***
Notes - The same as Rocksteady, except he bodychecks more frequently, and his
gun only fires forwards, so you can use more jump-kicks on him.

***************
Dr.Baxter

Attacks - Fires mousers: Dr.Backman's ship releases Mousers to stop you.
Strength - Weak (31 hits)
Where he/she/it is - End of Sewer Stage
Difficulty - *
Notes - This guy is pathetic. His only attack is to release mousers, and as
long as you keep jump-kicking him, they'll never get you. Better yet, if
you're playing 2-player, have one person fight the mousers and the other
fight Dr.Backman

***************
Tora

Attacks - Punch: Tora swings his hand at you. Causes medium damage.
Bodycheck: Tora runs across the room and hits you with his shoulder.
Causes minor damage and throws you back.
Throw ice block: Tora grabs an ice block and throws it at you. Causes
medium damage.
Strength - Medium (45 hits)
Where he/she/it is - End of Frozen City Stage
Difficulty - **
Notes - He was surprisingly easy compared to Beebop and Rocksteady. His
only projectile attack is throwing ice blocks, and they can be dodged by
moving up and down. Any attack will work here.

***************
Dr.Baxter: Fly form

Attacks - Flyswatter: Dr.Backman swings a flyswatter at you while moving
across the screen. Causes minor damage. Shock balls: Dr.Backman fires two
orange balls at you. Causes minor damage.
Strength - Weak (27 hits)
Where he/she/it is - End of Parking Lot Stage
Difficulty - ***
Notes - His low health is made up by his accuracy. Dodge his shock balls by
moving left and right, and try to jump-kick him while he's moving from one
side of the screen to the other. Or, hit him with your weapon or a slash
attack while he's near the ground.

***************
General Tragg

Attacks - Punch: General Tragg swings his hand at you. Causes medium damage.
Flame-thrower: General Tragg shoots you with his flame-thrower. Causes minor
damage and temporarily freezes you in place.
Strength - Heavy (62 hits)
Where he/she/it is: At the end of the Secret Factory Stage
Difficulty - ***
Notes - You will lose a lot of health in this fight. Fortunately there's a
pizza to restore your health in the corner of the room during the fight. My
method is to jump-kick him, then land and jump-kick him again from the other
side. He'll eventually punch you, and then use his flame-thrower. Moving out
of the way is slower to dodge his flame-thrower, so jump, and possibly start
the jump-kicking method again. This method is relatively safe, since he's
most dangerous in close range combat and you're not often near him.

***************
Shogun

Attacks - Sword Slash: Shogun attacks you with his sword. Causes minor
damage. Head Attack: Shogun's head flys off and trys to hit you.
Causes minor damage when the head hits.
Strength - Weak (32 hits)
Where he/she/it is - At the end of the Temple Stage
Difficulty - ****
Notes - If his head is on, don't use jump-kicks. Only use weapon and slash
attacks. Shortly into the fight, his head will fly off and if you jump-kick
him while it's coming off you'll take damage. Once his head is off, use jump-
kicks not only to hit him, but also to dodge the head. You'll need the pizza
nearby, so don't waste it. One method is to get in close and keep hitting
him with weapon attacks until you get too weak, then get the pizza and start
jump-kicking. Overall, he's one of the toughest bosses to beat.

***************
Metal Soldier

Attacks - Punch: Metal Soldier swings his hand at you. Causes medium damage.
Rocket Launcher: Metal Soldier shoots you with his Rocket Launcher. Causes
medium damage.
Strength - Heavy (52 hits)
Where he/she/it is: At the end of the Technodome Stage
Difficulty - *** 1/2
Notes - The same basic method used on General Tragg. Use jump-kicks
frequently and jump over his ranged attacks. This is more difficult because
his Rocket Launcher can be fired faster than the flame-thrower. Fortunately,
he has to take a second to reload his rocket launcher after he shoots it.

***************
Krang

Attacks - Laser Eye: Krang shoots a laser from his eyes towards the ground.
Causes minor damage. Kick: Krang kicks you. Causes medium damage. Arm Shot:
Krang shoots his arm towards you. Causes medium damage.
Strength: Heavy (72 hits)
Where he/she/it is - Technodome, Boss Room 1
Difficulty - *****
Notes - He's a brain in a robot suit. Using his kick and arm shot attacks, he
is defended against weapon and slash attacks. Use jump-kicks here, back and
forth like with General Tragg. You have to be very quick though, or he'll
kick you as you're coming out of your jump kick. His laser eyes aren't too
troublesome; you'll most likely be jumping over them anyway. It really helps
to play with a partner against this guy.

***************
Shredder

Attacks - Sword Slash: Shredder swings his sword at you. Causes minor damage.
Mutant Ray: Shredder fires a laser that mutates you back to ordinary turtles
if it hits. Causes you to instantly lose a life.
Strength - Heavy (70+ hits)
Where he/she/it is - Technodome, Boss Room 2
Difficulty - *****
Notes - What the... there's two of them?! Actually, one is just a clone.
Shredder's clones are easily destroyed, with 4 or 5 hits. Shredder himself
takes many more. Start by hitting both of the Shredders with any attack, but
jump-kicks are best to use to avoid their Sword Slash attack. Once one of the
Shredders gets his helmet knocked off, focus your attack on the other one
with the helmet. That's the real Shredder. If the Shredder clone is killed,
Shredder will make a new clone and you'll have to hit them until one loses a
helmet again. But if you keep hitting the real Shredder, eventually his
helmet comes off. Once Shredders Helmet is off, he can't clone himself
anymore. Then just a few more hits to both shredders and they both bite the
dust. As for dodging his Mutant Ray, you have to watch for one of the
shredders to run to one side of the screen. Follow him and get close to that
side of the screen where you won't be hit. If you can't get there in time,
you can try to get close to the shredder using the Mutant Ray and jump to
avoid the ray.
