Faster Than Light, A fénynél is gyorsabban,
Saturday Night Shorts: Film 99
Commander Kane is a family man and the first astronaut to test Longshot, a spaceship capable of faster than light (FTL) travel. His wife and son watch on television as he takes off on what is supposed to be a three minute trip from Earth to Mars. He arrives safely but a glitch on the way back home causes him to end up in a place far from it. A strange place where he is not alone.
I have to be honest. The only reason why I chose to review FTL today is because I was at review number ninety-eight for my Saturday Night Shorts project and really wanted to make it to the big…
So I guess the contrarian Sage has to be the only person on here who liked this huh?
Fine I'll defend it. It was really sweet. There is a very human-centric view of science fiction that this kind of avoids.
I loved the ending, thought the effects were fine. Plus at 15 minutes and free from Dust's YouTube page, it does not demand too much from me.
I say give it a quickie.
DuBFal-Sci-Fi-Weeks - 1st Round - Film Nr. 15

this was an absolute crock of shite AND i’ve got to edit a trailer for it in class now 😭. here’s some input from my mate jared:
“The acting was top tier, visually stunning and tears flooded from my eyes at the ending. Perfect family film.”
The only thing that made this short film interesting is the comment section on YouTube lol.
Trying to watch more shorts this year.
Not perfect but looks gorgeous, is well acted, and pretty high concept, like if Interstellar met The Abyss but was only fifteen minutes long.
Low budget, high concept. Executed quite decently, all things considered.
