1924-2016
WILLIAM WEST TOOLE, JR., born November 16, 1924 in Houston, died August 27th, 2016.
He is survived by his wife of seventy years, Dorothy Niland Toole.
Mr. Toole was a WII Navy veteran and was extremely proud of his service to his country. He was employed by the Brown & Root Company and later the Halliburton Company as a mechanical engineer and traveled all over the world working on off-shore drilling projects in Alaska, Scotland, and Abu Dhabi among others. Mr. Toole moved to the west coast on his retirement from Brown & Root, living inOregon and in Los Angeles, California. He died peacefully in his beloved Dotsy's arms at home in Los Angeles, but will be buried in Houston as he requested.
He is also survived by his daughter Annette O'Toole, son-in-law Michael McKean, granddaughters Nell Geisslinger and Anna Geisslinger, step grandson Fletcher McKean, nieces Patricia Outwin and KT Niland Sunn, nephews Chris Outwin, Tom Outwin, Casey Niland, Kelly Niland, and Douglas Moser.
The family will receive friends on Friday, September 9, 2016 from 10-11 am at Forest Park Lawndale Funeral Home with the Recitation of the Holy Rosary from 11-11:30 am. The interment will follow at Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or to the Paralyzed Veterans of America.
