Oak Ridge High School Reviews
Rating 3.83 out of 5 449 reviews
Education is great, a lot or great teachers with a few stinkers, and some amazing faculty. Truly a school to get prepared to go to university with. Some students are similar to their wealthy residents as narcissistic rich kids but your kids will make it through! Chemistry sucks here as it does everywhere and music can be funded maybe a little more. The food isn't amazing but it does the job. Overall, this school is great but has some hiccups within.
Oak Ridge is a great school with many qualified teachers and motivated students. I appreciate the wide variety of classes my school offers, especially the multitude of AP classes. I think there are several teachers who do not teach effectively, and this can be hard when you are expecting them to help you prepare for an AP exam. The school culture is overall positive and I think a lot of people like to be involved with clubs, sports, and other activities. I would appreciate it if the school paid more attention to teachers that students are constantly complaining about.
As an advanced education student who also participates in the arts, it’s a great school and I don’t think I’d get the same opportunities elsewhere. Many students here are athletes as well, and they’re high performing on the field and in class as well. It’s a hard working culture all around. However, the school spirit is minimum, and it’s very cliquey. It’s not the newest campus either, but there isn’t anything inherently wrong with it. Overall it’s a great school, I’ve attended multiple schools (including high schools) and it’s the best by far for my needs.
