Ex-Hacienda de Salaices
Ex-hacienda de Salaices is located west of Jimenez, Chihuahua state, along highway 45. After turning south off highway 45, you travel the short, two-lane paved road into the village of Salaices.
En route, you pass the now-quiet technical school, grazing land, a few houses, and the town's elementary school with children dashing around during recess.
The paved road abruptly becomes a dirt street. The end of the pavement marks the beginning of the town. At the end of the paved road there is a small store, and a pharmacy that also serves as the post office and telephone communication center.
Salaices has four distinct streets — one running east-west
with the other three branching off, running north-south. There are at least
two plazas — one in front of the new Catholic Church, and another near
the casa grande.
