Bio - Itziar Ituño

BIOGRAPHY

Itziar Ituño was born on 18 June 1974 in Basauri, Spain. She studied acting at the Basauri Theater School, and also graduated in urban-industrial and political science from the University of the Basque Country. Her mother tongue is Castilian but at the age of 19 she learned Basque, which allowed her to play on public channels on television series in Basque. 

Itziar Ituño is quite active on social networking sites such as Facebook , Instagram and Twitter. She loves to share her social media pics and personal thoughts and currently has 4.9 million Instagram followers. 

Professional Life: Career & Achievements
 

Following her dream of being a successful actress, Itziar Ituño first made her appearance in a Spanish film, Agur Olentzero, agur (Goodby Olentzero, Goodbye) in 1997. In the year 2001, she appeared in a soap opera, Goenkale where she portrayed the role of a lesbian policewoman. She worked in the soap opera for 14 years, until the show got canceled. The role provided her a huge exposure in her hometown and country. She then appeared in several films such as Cuentame como paso (2016), Pulsaciones (2017).

Itziar’s breakthrough role came in the Netflix/Atena 3 original TV series, Money Heist where she plays Raquel Murillo alongside Ursula Corbero, Alvaro Morte, Alba Flores, Miguel Herran, Jaime Lorente, Maria Pedraza, Esther Acebo, and many others. Moreover, her film credits include Un otono sin Berlin (2015), Igelak (2016), Tarde para el recreo (2017), and El silencio de la ciudad blanca (2019), and many others.
