I grew up in Roseville, my parents moved here to start a better life for me in a small city that has everything we need. Growing up, I loved my city, the schools were amazing, activities I loved, and I was a part of my community by volunteering. When I started high school, I was excited to start a new school with new teachers, new friends, and new experiences. I love the teachers, they are all extremely nice, and compassionate, and most of them understanding. I signed up for classes such as AVID and PLTW Biomedical Sciences which have made me mature and grow into the successful woman that I am today. I did get to experience a lot of new activities at school but did not get to enjoy them as much as I could because of the feeling of always being judged. I love the school, the teachers, the classes, the activities, but I dislike the people. Some clubs represent cultures such as the Latino Student Union but a lot of the students are very judgemental and rude.
It's alright but the school is mainly focused on VAPA, meaning there are less classes that cater toward potential STEAM students. Teachers are either super great or meh.
Roseville High School gave me the perfect opportunity to grow as a student and as a person. As soon as I joined the campus, the faculty encouraged me to play sports, get involved with clubs, and explore different class options. The growth I've had from my Freshman year to my Senior Year was incredible. From those years, I maintained a 4.1 GPA, I played 2 sports while being selected captain for our varsity football team, I was selected delegate for California Boys and Girls State, and so much more. This school gave me the opportunity to grow with friendly teachers and staff while still maintaining that sense of pride and 100+ year culture that Roseville has to offer.
