Ramona Convent is more than just a school to get high school over with, it is a haven of opportunities, college readiness, and female empowerment. The best part about being at Ramona has to be the scenic campus. Every time I am stressed or I have a test coming up, the walk to my destination never fails to calm me. The beautiful trees, birds, and flowers there always brighten my day and it's inspired me to have a green thumb. To me, the bad part about Ramona is the somewhat strict dress code. I get the purpose of rules regarding the school uniform, but the strictness about not wearing a long-sleeved shirt under the school shirt is silly. I would like to see the school uniform guidelines change since I can sometimes feel limited to what I wear, but I will say I don't have to take too long picking out what I'll to wear to school.
It has a good resource network. The teachers care a lot and they are always trying to make sure you succeed. There is a lack of resources for theatre, so that could be improved. Overall it is an amazing school. There is always an event, so being involved is easy to do- and it brings a sense of community.
I transferred to RCSS in Senior year and I have been very grateful as they've made my transition an easy one.
