This is a quality product in presenation and sound quality. Essential purchase for vinyl and Steppenwolf lovers get it while you can! Initially I thought it a luxury purchase given the price and freight to New Zealand and I already had all the tracks many times over. Not to mention an excellent condition New Zealand pressing I have owned for 45 years! All doubts disappeared when I opened the package. An excellent thick cardboard gatefold, inserts and a quality 200 Gram pressing that sounds superb. I am not a vinyl fanatic and I'm very happy listening to a well mastered CD (often prefer it) but the sound here is something special and needs to be experienced. Steppenwolf fans have been poorly served over the years with even comparatively obscure bands getting the box set treatment and deluxe reissues on anytning near an anniversary while Steppenwolf seems relatively ignored. There were the great Japanese CD issues in replica LP sleeves a few years back however they were expensive and extremely limted (I have not managed to get a copy of the Second as yet). Please we need more reissues like this excellent Steppenwolf Gold. A few deluxe CD reissues and a box set would be great also! Great delivery by DHL on time and intact at the bottom of the world!
What everyone else has previously mentioned in their reviews!!! Unreal quality and unsurpassed sound.NEVER heard these songs this good!!!!! And I’m 63 and have listened to em from the get go!!!
