The Sinner returned to the screens of Netflix for season 4 in January 2022.

This time it features the now-retired Detective Harry Ambrose making a comeback to solve the mysterious disappearance of a prominent family’s daughter, Percy Muldoon.

Created by Derek Simonds, Season 4 stars the fan favorite Bill Pullman, Jessica Hecht, and Frances Fisher. The crime series, with this season, also brings back its usual dark, moody, and eerie aura with jaw-dropping twists.

The beautiful backdrop of the new season with fishing boats, dense forests, and the coastline is supposedly Hanover Island, Maine. However, the filming did not take place there at all.

Hanover Island in the series is Harry Ambrose’s much-needed getaway spot, where he gets sucked into the detective life again. Lunenburg was a perfect choice as it has a fishing industry.

Previously it was a UNESCO World Heritage Site and would be a ship-building town before that.
