All Nightmare on Elm Street Movies RANKED

Now, normally I'm not an advocate for ranking stuff (because everyone has different taste) but I eneded up using a ranked-tier-list-thingy as an excuse to talk about all the NoES movies. But I eneded up feeling guilty over my ranking.... How do you guys rank these movies in your private thoughts amd in your secret heart?

Mine

S: 3 and 1

A: New Nightmare

B: 4

C: F v J, 6

D: 5, 2

F: Remake.

So yeah, I don't agree with this much.

And that's okay too! Some people like broccoli and others don't. Although I do have a feeling a lot of people agree that 1 & 3 are S tier. Thanks for sharing your list! I really appreciate it!

I think 6 is one of the worst movies I’ve ever seen in my life. I love the series on the whole, but 6 just doesn’t do it for me.

6 was the first one I saw so special place. I was 9 and didn't want to be scared so I watched them backwards. I don't understand my logic.

3 was the first I watched. I must have been less than ten years old. I watched it with the neighbors kids because my parents would never allow it. Scared me half to death and created a fear of falling asleep for a couple years after. I think that’s why I love them as an adult. The fear is gone but the fascination stuck.

I think our first experiences do dictate a lot of our tastes. But the big question, did watching them in reverse scare you more?

No because I knew he does get beat. People dying is fine but someone will win.

I feel you. But I get how and why some people love it. Like the concept of number 6 I love a whole lot! Just find it wasn't executed well.

Never understood why dream warriors is always ranked so high, ive always found parts 2,4, and 5 to be more entertaining. 3 is great but ive always found it’s style and tone to be a little blander than the rest. The charcters aren’t as interesting to me aa well

Interesting.. My guess as to why Dream Warriors is ussually so highly ranked is because Freddy does some shapeshifting in it (puppy, worm and tv-freddy), so maybe that weird creativity is what people like? .... But Dream Warriors also hase blatant boobs.... But that's probably unrelated.

Yeah, i would lean towards the special effects playing a bog part. And most likely Freddy himself, i think people just really enjoy Freddy in that film. Ive just always found the music and atmosphere a little dull in that film and the characters just arnt as interesting to me.

Ooooh! Very similar to mine. I see most people feel the same regarding Dream Child, but it seems Freddy's Dead is the one that truly varies in placement for people. Thanks for sharing!
