- What a rocking album! Tommy really turns up the Westerberg sound on the opening track - a sound he is partially responsible for as well, being from the same era. But somehow he makes it sound fresh in ways that very few can - Bash and Pop notwithstanding. The playing of Jay Bennett - another great musician who died too soon - must also be highlighted. His production, organ, melodic basslines, and numerous electric and acoustic guitar overdubs color the songs, and jibe well with Keene's own superb electric guitar playing and singing. Fans of Big Star and The Replacements be advised; this is excellent powerpop
