I haven’t read this series personally but I can tell you about my daughter’s experience. I purchased the first two books of the wings of Fire series as a Christmas gift for my 9-year-old in the hopes of igniting in her a bit of a passion for reading. WELL… Let me tell you… she hasn’t stopped. Most days I had to threaten to take away her Wings of Fire books to get her to sleep, eat, get ready for school, do chores…
Six months later, my now 10-year-old is halfway through book 15 and is eager for more! As far as literacy goes, she’s at the top of her class now. She’s even inspired several of her friends to pick up and read these books too. Great series!
