Junaid Khan, son of Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan, is gearing up for his highly-anticipated debut in Aditya Chopra’s Maharaja. However, even as audiences await his first cinematic outing, Junaid is already deep into the filming of his second project, co-starring Sai Pallavi. Social media recently buzzed with viral images of Junaid and Sai shooting amid the scenic backdrop of Japan’s Sapporo Snow Festival.

In the images, Junaid is clad in a thick black jacket, earmuffs, and glasses, exuding a blend of style and class. Sai complements the picturesque scenery, donning a checkered jacket while flaunting her curls. The duo also took time to engage with fans during their work trip. Some snapshots showed them posing with fans. They also posed at a local store in Japan.

Junaid Khan’s second film is backed by his father and actor Aamir Khan under the banner of Aamir Khan Productions. It is helmed by Siddharth P Malhotra, known for directing Rani Mukherji’-starrer Hichki.

Meanwhile, Junaid’s debut film Maharaja draws inspiration from the infamous 1862 Maharaja Libel Case, wherein the leader of a religious sect sued a newspaper for alleging his involvement in illicit relations with his female followers. Junaid is said to portray a journalist in the film, positioned on the opposing side of the courtroom drama. The movie’s team wrapped up its shooting schedule in October 2023, as confirmed by actor Shalini Pandey, who also plays a pivotal role in the production.

In her interview with News18, she also opened up on her experience of working with Junaid. She said, “Junaid is a very easy breezy human being. He’s a good co-actor to work with. I had a lot of fun working with him. We’re in the same age group, so we had a blast during the shoot. Maharaj is one of his first few projects and so is mine. That’s why we had a very similar energy on set.”
