Marta Esther Rocafort y Altuzzara was born on 18 September 1913, in Havana, Cuba as the daughter of Blas Manuel Rocafort y Gonzáles and Rogelia Altuzarra y Carbonell. She married Alfonso de Borbón y Battenberg. Conde de Covadonga on 3 July 1937, in Havana, Cuba. She immigrated to Miami, Dade, Florida, United States in 1935. She died on 4 February 1993, in Miami, Miami-Dade, Florida, United States, at the age of 79.
