Does anybody know where I find the numbers (as in which number out of the 250 I have)? - I've heard some people say its on the booklet somewhere, but I just can't see it on there

What about the lyn 4132/lyn 4133 version?
            https://www.discogs.com/release/5405648-Sex-Pistols-Spunk

Is it a first press or a counterfeit?
The labels look different on the external border.

The volume on this LP is cut a little low, most likely due to the length they've squeezed on to the vinyl: Side A about 27:20 and Side B about 28:30... That's a long LP. As the source material has always been a little low-fi, I guess they thought it would be ok. I compared it to the CD version on 2021's 'Sex Pistols – 76-77'. That CD was considerably louder, but when I got the volume down on the CD player to match the LP volume, I felt the LP sounded better. The highs are a bit more defined, the CD a bit more muddy. Interesting, considering they probably come from the same digital files.

So if you're willing to crank your system up a bit, this is a pretty good release.

Perhaps this box is limited to 250 copies worldwide but as to my opinion it is not numbered.
You cannot find a number printed or written on the box. I have done some research and I cannot find a source telling
me that the number of the edition is inside the box. No info about that.
I assume this is a very limited box but not numbered.

There is no trace of a 'number' looking at the outside of the box ?
Can anyone tell me where the number can be found ? Inside the box ?
                  Thanks.

I have this copy with purple sleeve, but it has original matrix LYN 4372-111 and LYN 4373-111 as well as BLA 169 A/B.
Anybody else with both matrix numbers?

You've likely heard these demo versions if you were a Pistols fan during the late '80s/early '90s, when Restless Records endlessly repackaged them under titles like "The Mini Album" and "The Swindle Continues." If you haven't heard them, you should; they constitute an essential chunk of the band's history, and manager Malcolm McLaren preferred these recordings to "Never Mind the Bollocks." Naturally, as demos they're sonically inferior to the Sex Pistols' lone studio album, but some of the tracks have a punchiness and immediacy that "Bollocks" lacks. My personal favorite is 'I Wanna Be Me,' which was subjected to a slight remix when it became the B-side of 'Anarchy in the UK,' the band's first single. Note, too, the bass fills and backing vocals on 'Problems' and 'Pretty Vacant': these little touches, which I've always enjoyed, were abandoned after the departure of original bassist and principal songwriter Glen Matlock. In my opinion this was a mistake, and the versions on "Bollocks" don't even hint at the musical sophistication of which the Pistols were capable.

"Spunk" also happens to be a more accurate representation than "Bollocks" of the band's live sound (which you can confirm for yourself by listening to "The Original Pistols Live"). If you're about to plop down in your reading chair with a copy of Jon Savage's "England's Dreaming," these demos will provide the perfect aural accompaniment.

My copy of 'Spunk' is the plain white sleeve with the 'Blank' label depicted on Discogs. It's a fantastic artefact.
