根據中國媒體《搜狐》消息，為了爭取林書豪加盟CBA（Chinese Basketball Association，中國男子籃球職業聯賽），中國籃球協會主席姚明出面，邀請林書豪參與7月15 日舉行的CBA選秀。
中媒報導，林書豪已與中國運動品牌簽約，甚至近期還穿了國內一家品牌鞋子參加電視節目，以此推論，林書豪有中國合約在身，極有可能重返中國籃壇。
依照外傳行情，林書豪年約在1500萬人民幣（約6450萬台幣）以上，甚至上看2000萬人民幣（約8600萬台幣）。
