Junglee Pictures announces high concept thriller ‘Click Shankar’ with filmmaker Balaji Mohan

On Monday, Junglee Pictures took to its official social media handles to announce a new franchise 'Click Shankar'. “Excited to announce our next high-concept thriller #ClickShankar with @directormbalaji ! The first instalment in the #ClickShankar universe is a perfect blend of action, humor & heart,” tweeted the team.

Touted to be a high-concept thriller, the film title 'Click Shankar' consists of the word ‘Click’ synonymous with a camera click for his much more than photographic memory recall, on the other hand, ‘Shankar’ Rebeiro, a cop who never forgets a sight, sound, taste, smell or feeling.

Unravelling the mystery, the storyline of the film is said to be focusing on a one-of-a-kind lead character – a witty yet troubled inspector who remembers everything, which is both a boon and curse for him. Shankar Rebeiro has a rare condition called Hyperthymesia, which enables him to remember every event of his life, ensuring that the past is never quite behind him.
Following Shankar's journey through a roller coaster of emotions and suspenseful twists and turns, this character-driven subject is a perfect blend of action, humour and heart.
While the makers are yet to announce the full cast, sources said that a strong female lead will be roped in soon to match the protagonist’s sharp charisma and add an essence of intrigue to this narrative.
‘Click Shankar’ will be helmed by acclaimed director Balaji Mohan, who has films like Maari 1, 2 and Kadhalil Sodhappuvadhu Yeppadi under his credit. The story and screenplay are written by Binky Mendez alongside Balaji Mohan, and the dialogues are penned by Sumit Arora of ‘Stree’, ‘The Family Man - Season 1’ alongside Suraj Gianani.
