Final Cut? What do you mean by that title?
It's a nod to "Blade Runner: The Final Cut", and also since there have been so many different versions of the movies (theatrical, 1997 VHS, 2004 DVD, 2011 Blu-ray, 2019 Disney+), this is my view of the last canon cut ever of these films, combining the best pieces of everything that has come before.
I guess that’s what I find confusing. BR used that title because it was the final official cut of the film, from the original director.
This isn’t an official release from the filmmakers, nor is it likely to be the final fanedit of the trilogy.
I like the sound of what you’re putting together - it’s just that the name is confusing.
Yeah, it's basically what I think should be the final official cut of the film, which of course it is not, nor will it be even remotely the last fanedit of these films. I had the idea for this project years ago, before Disney+ or the 4K Blu-rays even came out, and my hope was that Lucasfilm would pick and choose the best parts of each version and make it the final (or at least latest version) of the films. But since they didn't, and only added more weird stuff (Maclunkey), I set out to do this myself.

Hi I was wondering will you have any deleted scenes in here and is this going to be one long epic 5 hour fan edit as one movie or individual movies?
I am going to include the Biggs and Luke scene, which was technically a deleted scene in the theatrical version, but was restored in all the Special Edition versions. Other than that, I won't be including any deleted scenes, because I don't want a sudden dip in video quality. The only exception is I might try to add some of the deleted shots of Rebels soldiers in the Millennium Falcon from ROTJ. that have recently surfaced on YouTube, because those look like pretty high resolution.
And they will all be the 3 separate movies.

Re poster - to improve in my opinion- get rid of 2nd vader in rotj And move /remove han /leia in the esb part, so they aren’t covering vader’s face - it just too clutered

Most interested to see what you cut or add to RotJ. I feel this is the trickiest of the OT to edit.
ROTJ is going to be the most different. I'm currently editing it right now, and it is proving to be challenging. I'm adding some of the resurfaced deleted scenes/shots of Rebel soldiers in the Millennium Falcon into the space battle sequence. I've also aged-up Hayden Christensen's force ghost to appear the actual age he would be at his time of death. I'm doing the theatrical Jabba's Palace song, but keeping the added scenes of Oola falling into the Rancor Pit. And including both theatrical and Special Edition shots of the Sarlaac pit, and making the CGI of the SE shots look better.
All this sounds great. So other edits I’ve seen have made Boba’s “death” less comical, Han less jealous, toned down the Ewoks. Have you considered any of this?
Also, please replace the most obvious matte painting in the entire saga when Lando is about to board the Falcon as Han leaves with the strike team. It’s so jarring in HD.
Lol'ing at the matte painting comment. I know exactly what you're talking about, but I'm not sure how I could change it, short of rotoscoping every movement of Han and Lando in the foreground and making the background more blurred, but that sounds like more work than I might want to do for that shot.
And I haven't really considering changing much else. It's really not meant to be a fan-edit, but more of just combining the best parts of each official version that already exists, although I couldn't help myself to try and put the random rebels back in, and the few other things I mentioned. I'm curious why people felt the need to tone down Han's jealousy. I think it makes perfect sense following the rest of the trilogy, and makes for engaging interplay. I see the desire to cut some of the Ewok stuff, but I don't think I'll touch any of it. Also curious how they made Boba's death less comical?

I just found out and downloaded your work. I think what you did is outstanding! My only criticism is about the audio: I also have Project 4K77 and it contains a plethora of dubbings that make the experience a lot better for us non-american audience. Aside from that, great job!
Thank you! I'm just one English-speaking guy, and it took me long enough to get just the English language tracks right. I unfortunately did not have the time - or even if I did, have the know-how, how to do foreign language tracks justice. But if someone else would like to do it, by all means!
