I've been trying to book flights from Dublin to Las Vegas through the Delta web site but each time it gets to charging my card it gives me the same message "we cannot bill this credit/debit card please use another card" - I've tried inputting the details for THREE different charge cards and none of them are being accepted - has anyone else booking from Ireland/Europe had this problem? Do I need a US based credit card?
Try again in a few hours, its most likely an IT glitch. If that doesn't work, try phoning. And I'd call your credit card companies now and double check that the charge didn't go through otherwise you could end up with multiple bookings, its happened. Very low chance that will be the case but worth a phone call all the same.
Did have the same problem once-phone them and explain what has happened and ask them to input the details manually
Any chance someone has cloned your cards and either emptied your debit account or run your credit card up to its limit?
When you go on the delta website,top right you will see a flag and a language.You need to click on the language and select the website for Ireland.That might help.
I had the same issues a couple of weeks ago, I think its down to the 'verified by visa thing', It kept asking me to input the details even though I was using an AMEX (that was on the delta UK website). In the end it worked out as I found more suitable flights with United.
Thanks for feedback you guys; turned out the credit card had been blocked by cc fraud unit - spoke to cc company who said they blocked the transaction cos it was much larger than other recent transactions! Got card unblocked & tried booking again (online) only to have the same problem - rang Delta who couldn't match the Internet price over the phone - they also said they removed all records of my previous booking efforts and to try the site again - I did and it still blocked my card! Went to another airline - job done, flights booked!
