About Storyville

As we all know, Storyville has decided to call it quits after five years together as a band. While Storyville fans are all saddened by this decision, we also understand how difficult it is on the band members to keep on doing what they do so well. The relatively short amount of time they spend on stage entertaining us is offset by the travel, late nights, and time away from their families. The members of the band are leaving on good terms with each other and their fans. We are sure to see each of them onstage again.

Storyville has released three recordings, the first was Bluest Eyes and the credits show that the band had not quite formed at the time it was made. Their second release and their most commercially successful effort is A Piece Of Your Soul, which contains the popular song "Good Day for the Blues". The most recent Storyville release is Dog Years and many songs from it are currently getting frequent air play on the radio. If you don't have these three Storyville recordings in your collection you are missing some fine music.

We will always be grateful for the time that Chris Layton, Tommy Shannon, David Holt, David Grissom, and Malford Milligan were together as Storyville. They made some great music, and the energy they generated in their live performances will become a standard of comparison for future musical groups. Thanks again, Chris, Tommy, David, David, and Malford. We will miss you. We wish you well.
