Rio is an American computer animated franchise produced initially by Blue Sky Studios and 20th Century Fox Animation and later, after the closing of the studio, only by the latter. It focuses on the adventures of a former pet Ara Spyx named Blu and his wife Jewel.
The franchise is currently formed by two main movies (Rio and Rio 2), a crossover videogame (Angry Birds Rio), a comic strip Novel (Rio Snakes Alive!), an upcoming spin-off film and an upcoming third and last main film.
