Horrible Experience

We had one of the worst experience with kkday. On our visit to Tokyo we booked a day tour of Nikko (Japan’s World Heritage Site Day Tour: Nikko Tosho-gu Shrine, Lake Chuzenji, Kegon Falls and Kinugawa Hot Springs). We made booking for this tour on kkday website ( www.kkday.com) & paid in advance. For this tour we were to be picked up at designated place- Subaru building Shinjuku Square. We were there in time-15 min before departure time but no bus came to pick us. There was another Couple waiting for same tour. After 30 minute of waiting we called up & were shocked to know that this tour has been cancelled. It was Disappointing experience that we planned our trip so that that day is utilised for Nikko day tour but this company did not bother to inform us in advance of cancellation although they had our contact details( e mail address). Hence this company should be avoided at all costs for travel bookings.

Better not use KKday.

I've searched many Taiwanese forums and there were tons of complains about their services. When there is a claim, they like to use the excuse of "we are just a platform, not travel service provide" to get away with the responsibilities. They even block-off negative reviews!

we just booked them last week for a 1 day privat tour to Northern Taiwan - would them absolutly recomment. Top Service. They send a Taxidriver as Guide - maybe we just had luck with our guide

That is really your fault. You should have read the instructions, KKDay is not a tour provider but works with other companies to provide tours. Its your fault man, own up.

Any recommendations for other tour companies that not KKday?

ALERT!!!! This company Kkday just took $400 off our debit visa and we have never heard of them before or even used an online travel agency. Pure fraud.

I just used them to get a sim card for our GSM phone for Taiwan. We picked it up at Taoyuan International Airport at the Unite counter in Terminal 2. It worked perfectly for the 30 days of our trip. I couldn't be happier. Very reasonable cost. It included 430 NT of talk/text time and UNLIMITED DATA. Wow, I connected our pc and we used maybe 4 GB of data, no problem. We ended the trip with 165 NT of talk left. You can top up the talk at 7-11. I ended up having to call the customer service number on the packaging because of an error on my part and got a rep that spoke excellent English, very professional, and stayed patiently with me until I realized the problem was mine and solved it myself.
