No Reason to Cry is the fourth studio album by British musician Eric Clapton.
It was released in August 1976 under the Rso Records label. In 1990 the album was released on CD.

The album was recorded at Shangri-la Studios in March 1976. The album includes a duet with Bob Dylan, a song which Dylan composed according to the CD booklet of his album The Bootleg Series Volumes 1 - 3 [Rare & Unreleased] 1961-1991. Dylan lived in a tent at the end of Clapton's backyard in Hurtwood and attended the recording sessions. The song "Hungry" is a duet with Marcy Levy. Yvonne Elliman also sang on a few songs. All five members of The Band had a large part in the album.

I thoroughly enjoy this album as a whole. It’s fun listening to Clapton front The Band and duet with Dylan. My pressing sounds great! Highly recommended!

Awesome recording well mastered, with terrific bass & good clarity. Slowhand is in fine form here and is beautifully assisted by Bob Dylan & The Band, who you may have heard of. Hugely under-rated album IMHO...

Always loved this one. Laid back feeling that fit fine before it got boring over 30 years of MOR sameness. Awesome cast of players including The Band that fit him like a glove. Love the sound here, mellow 70’s production very much of its time which is fine. Doesn’t need sprucing up - no remixes or remasters needed. Perfect as it is.

My copy doesn't have the promo label but everything else is the same RS-1-3004 A5-CPX is etched on side one like it should be but its not a promo
