The 2019 Jeep Compass has a rugged look, an impressive array of features and the ability to go places a Nissan Rogue Sport or Kia Sportage can only dream about. The price is right, at least on entry-level trims, and you can still get a manual transmission on the Sport and 4WD Latitude trims.
The Jeep Compass isn’t big on power, resale, fuel economy or stellar reliability ratings. If you need something with more room, the larger Cherokee or a Honda CR-V makes a better choice. Driver assists standard on some rivals are still optional on the Compass.
