Visiting the area ... recommended to explore this area. Had a great walk perched above the ocean ...

I was looking forward to this trail but unfortunately the dog owners don’t obey the rules. I was walking along the trail in the “dog leash on” area. As I walked the trail a pit bull was starting to approach me. I turned away and started walking then another medium sized dog started staring me down - the owners were no where to be found. I started walking back to the entrance and another dog started to run towards me. I called out and kindly asked the lady to get her dog. She called the dog who didn’t listen and she just walked by me and left her dog. The rudest people. It’s a beautiful trail and very unfortunate that humans can’t enjoy it because of these rude dog owners.

What a nice little Preserve in Santa Barbara. We just followed the GPS driving direction on YELP and parked in the residential area where instructed. This put us right at the entrance of the preserve. It is used by a lot of dog walkers, but they all were very courteous of us "walkers". One saw us looking at the marque trail map and explained it to us. Later we ran into the same dog walker on the trail and asked "how" to get to Henry's Beach below. Taking the trail down to the beach, we found that the Boat House Restaurant is located there and looked very inviting for a return trip. The beach was marked for one direction for dogs "off" leash and in the other direction for dogs "on leash". We had no trouble with dogs during our walk on the beach.
