TONIGHT: How to Get a Job in Academia, 6-7pm, Gordon Cameron Postgraduate career advisor Kate Murray will be joined by ECRs Dr Ben Wiedemann and Dr Itai Massad to discuss the options for those wishing to pursue a career in academia, covering everything from applying for postdocs, grant applications and the potential career paths both within and outside academia. Open to all - whether you're studying for your undergrad and curious to know more, or final year PhD and wondering what to do next.

In this session Dr Ben Wiedemann, Dr Gabriel Duckels, Dr Caitlin Harvey and Dr Anke Ardern Arentsen will take you step-by-step through the process of getting your first journal article published – no question is too basic! The session will cover: choosing which journal to approach, writing and editing the article, and going through the peer review process. Open to all undergraduates and postgraduates (and all Hills Colleges).
