What's New in SKIMS?
NEET UG 2024 will be held on May 5, 2024, for admission to MBBS at SKIMS. NEET UG Admit Card 2024 has been released on May 1, 2024 @ exams.nta.ac.in/NEET. NEET UG 2024 Result will be declared on June 14, 2024. NEET PG 2024 will now be held on June 23, 2024, for admission to the MD/ MS/ PG Diploma at SKIMS. NEET PG 2024 Applications are now open @ natboard.edu.in. The last date to apply for NEET PG 2024 is May 6, 2024.
Sher-i-Kashmir Institute of Medical Sciences also abbreviated SKIMS, is the largest medical Institute under State Legislature Act in Indian state of Jammu & Kashmir.
The university incorporates various departments which include medicine and allied, surgery and allied and other supportive services.
- Admission to MBBS, MD and MS programmes is based on merit of NEET.
- Admission to various UG and PG level courses is done on the basis of Common Entrance Test and Written tests conducted by the University

SKIMS B.Sc Admission 2024
The University offers Bachelor’s degree in Science under eight different specializations subjects. All of these programmes are offered with the duration of four years and the intake capacity of these courses is 50 seats each.
For admissions to the UG courses at SKIMS, candidates need to sit for a Common Entrance Test (CET). A relaxation of 10% in aggregate marks is allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved category

SKIMS PG-Tech/M.Sc Admission 2024
SKIMS provides Postgraduate degree in various fields of Medicine and Medical Technology. The M.Sc degree is offered under 15 different specializations and DMRIT is provided with two specializations.
The duration of M.Sc programme is two years whereas, the duration of DMRIT course is one year.
For admission to M.Sc and DMRIT programmes, the eligible candidates shall have to appear in a Written Test which shall be conducted by SKIMS (Deemed University).
A relaxation of 5% in aggregate marks is allowed to the candidates belonging to reserved category

SKIMS DM and M.Ch Admission 2024
SKIMS also provides super speciality courses like Doctor of Medicine (DM), and Master of Chirurgiae (M.Ch). Both the programmes are offered under five different specializations. All these courses are of a period of three years.
The selection from amongst the eligible candidates in each super-specialty course shall be made entirely on the basis of competitive entrance examination to be held at SKIMS comprising of theory, Practical/Viva voce.

SKIMS Ph.D Admission 2024
SKIMS offers Doctor of Philosophy degree under four different specializations. The duration of Ph.D programmes is 2-5 years.
To qualify for admission to the Ph.D Course, a candidate must obtain a minimum of 50% marks in written examination and minimum of 50% marks in the combined practical and viva-voce examination and select list shall be framed from amongst the candidates who qualify the entrance examination strictly on the basis of merit.

- The application form for the above mentioned courses shall be filled online on SKIMS website
- Candidates shall first register to fill up the form
- Once the form is completely filled, candidates can proceed to payment part by J&K Bank Challan and have to print e-Challan for making payment of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred only) as application fee at any J&K Bank Branch in Account number 0342010100000183 Branch SKIMS Soura Srinagar, IFSC Code JAKA0SKIMSS and obtain the candidate’s counterfoil of the application fee payment challan duly authenticated by the bank with (i) Branch name and Code No. (ii) transaction No. and (iii) date of deposit filled by the branch official
- The candidates are required to submit payment challan of fee in the office of Registrar (Academic), SKIMS, Soura, Srinagar by registered post only upto last date of submission of online application forms

You have to visit on NTA official website for the NEET application exam, you have to qualify and you can get benefits through your different forms of reservation also. May be easy to apply for admission through the online platform may be as apply an option for online reporting of the students.

12th passed with a minimum of 80% in each subject selection is done after the cracking exam conducted by BOPEE. Reservation is provided to socially weaker students and police personnel but in most cases, the seats remain unfulfilled and are converted to open merit during the final mop-up round so don't lose hope until the final round.

The academics of the college are excellent and at par with other medical colleges of the country,it is provided with excellent labs faculty, The hospital ( also known as jvc hospital ) has a good patient input and provides good exposure to the students, apart from this students are made to attend their final year classes and postings in skims source which is the only apex institution in the whole ut and amongst the best institutions in the country which exposes students to rare cases with the advantage of learning from the best of the best.

Through entrance examination.i got admission by getting rank 3,and i opted for this course because post graduation in my favourite subject was my passion,and its one of the renowned institution in our valley.steps for admission procedure were; 1) filled application form online 2) submitted the hard copy of application form 3) scrutinized my required documents 4) appeared in the entrance examination 5)after selection went through counseling and opted for obs/gyne This all happened in the year 2015 and i joined the college in the August of 2015

College's condition very bad right now but can do very good. Has the potential. Really needs to get over the attendance drama and focus on its level of teaching and conduct worthwhile exams. Focus on teaching how to implement

There are no clubs for partying that generally college students thrive for but it has its own beauty . Overall a good place to invest your 4 years.
