- Chas87714Port Neches, TX497 contributionsVery interesting drive, just outside of Rock Springs. It is a pretty open area, without a lot of vegetation. However, there are herds of horses running wild all over this area.Written November 28, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Cello12345Urbana, IL684 contributionsWe did the road out of Vernal, UT, up to the Wyoming line. On the way up the mountain pass, you'll see a huge phosphate mine. We enjoyed the roadside stop that they provided, with interpretive signage to understand what all was happening there. The road then traverses a very high mountain pass - there was still snow when we were there in mid May! Then down, down, down again to the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. Great views along the reservoir there! Loved the Sheep Creek Geological Loop.Written June 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - bd WWY246 contributionsScenic, paved, although Flaming Gorge is seen closer to the Utah State Line. Many gravel roads take you directly the excellent fishing of the Gorge. - Rick TCampbell River, Canada30 contributionsWell preserved petroglyph by BLM. A short hike to them. A major amount of dirt road to get there. Take a vehicle with good clearance.Written August 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DillonM1905Laramie, WY433 contributionsThe Boars Tusk is in the middle of nowhere north of Rock Springs. Probably best to drive out in a 4 wheel drive vehicle. Very interesting rock formation to walk around and appreciate the desert scenery and wildlife.Written May 23, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Matthew SDenver, CO124 contributionsWe stopped in Rock Springs for the night and found this little gem in downtown Rock Springs. The brewery is small, which made for a more enjoyable atmosphere for talking with the locals and head brewer (possible owner). Their beers were delicious and on point for style/category. Pale Ale and IPA's were wonderful as was the Brown Ale. Always fun to talk to the brewer and enjoy their beers. If you are in the area, make sure you stop here!!Written October 20, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - WyomingRancherCora, WY11,783 contributionsWe took our Jeep on an explore southeast of Rock Springs, intending to explore Adobe Town and ruins in that part of the desert. From I-80, we went south on county road 19 about 50 miles, passing through a working ranch, until we came to the ruins of an abandoned ranch adjacent to the road. It was interesting to walk among these old buildings, some with furniture and kids' toys left behind, thinking about the hours and hours of work needed just to build the foundations. We then headed east on various roads to see Adobe Town sites, and also a ruin from an old US Cavalry fort that protected the US Mail route. Roads are poorly marked, so mind your compass and your route in case you have to turn around and retrace your steps. A large number of energy industry roads don't help. We traveled when the roads were dry, which was helpful. 4wd is not needed on 19, but is useful if you venture off east to explore.Written September 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Laurie B5 contributionsI went expecting a pleasant afternoon and found more than I had anticipated. There is a wonderful collection of art, much more extensive than I thought I would find in Rock Springs. The four of us kept circling through, finding gems and reading about the artists and the history behind the art and the town. The curator was knowledgeable and friendly and provided even more background information. We purchased several things at the gift shop and would have liked to have spent more time, perhaps in the library section filled with art books. Highly recommend.Written October 24, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Amy BJohnstown, CO818 contributionsThis facility is beautiful and the pool area for kids simply amazing especially if you’ve been driving all day and kids need to play. I’m giving them 2 stars because the rec center is open until 8pm, but they close the pool at 530🤦♀️. Super frustrating when we planned on spending a few hours here based on the web pages posting of hours. Good thing we decided to come before dinner instead of afterwards!Written May 28, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
