- David K15 contributionsThis beach was only a few minute ride from the cruise terminal, which was why we picked it, and it seemed to have good reviews. The beach was somewhat crowded, but really not too bad. Unfortunately we got there a little late and they ran out of umbrellas and lounge chairs and we had to settle for regular upright beach chairs, but we got lucky that the day was somewhat cloudy and were also set up underneath some palm trees so we got a fair amount of shade. The beach was very pleasant, it looked nice, and was very clean, and the restroom facilities were also in good shape. we didn't eat much of the food, but what we had was OK.

Ras and Tamika were perfect hosts and Ayao, their son, took us on this delightful tour of gardens. Learnt so much about nature and also life.

There's a varied menu covering mexican inspired dishes, meat and fish. The location is attractive with outdoor tables overlooking the harbour. Our first visit was on Valentine's Day and we hadn't pre-booked but were seated within 10 minutes Thereafter, getting a table was no problem without a booking. Staff were all friendly and got to know us after a few days. Service is timely, but expect dishes to be prepared to order so you may wait a little while. Enjoy the view while you wait. Taste is individual, however, for us by far and away the best dish was the curry goat, with rice and peas. Good place to go if you are not based in an all-inclusive hotel, or want a change of scene. Magical time exploring nature and interacting with and seeing a variety of animals - emu, albino peacock, crocodile feeding, and many more. We even got to take the trail down to the beautiful river. Thank you Bianca and Kim! Another exciting surprise was to learn their farm is off grid and the electricity is generated from the pig waste that is converted to biofuel. - Andre WKingston, Jamaica2 contributionsNice location, fairly good bathroom and changing areas. I think enclosed shower areas would be much appreciated and add some more value to the venue. Parking is also quite adequate. My biggest issue was with the water. Before I entered the water I was informed that a member of our party had encountered 'sea eggs' which was quite painful. When I went in I felt a lot of sharp stones underfoot, I also encountered something slimy which I figured was some seaweed, there were a few close shaves with some sea eggs as well. Great knowlege of all facts and info in addition of smile and kindnest. Doctors cave beach was a blast. These fantastic people changed my opinion of Jamaica forever. Showed us different different locations and even recommended a few spots for authentic foods, which he purchased for us! Overall excellent experience and mad cool like you riding with your family. I mention the condition of the van because our arrival vehicle was not all that great and not on time. Rolando was informative and very helpful.
