Tim McGraw earned his 45th chart-topping hit with his latest single “7500 OBO.”

The country superstar reacted to the news after “7500 OBO” topped the Country Aircheck/Mediabase chart with a social media post.

“Thanx Country Radio for making “7500 OBO” the #1 record this week,” he shared.

“7500 OBO” is featured on McGraw‘s 16th studio album, Here On Earth, which reached the No.1 spot on the Billboard Country album chart upon its release in 2020. The project was re-released with an Ultimate Edition this spring with an additional set of songs.

“‘7500 OBO’ is about a guy who’s trying to get rid of his truck that he loves because there’s too many memories of his girlfriend in it. So ‘7500 OBO’ is ‘or best offer,’ of course.” McGraw explains of the track co-written by Nathan Spicer, Matt McGinn and Jennifer Schott. “So he’s just tryin’ to get rid of the truck because he can’t get in it anymore because all he thinks about is his girlfriend and all the great fun that they had and the times they had together. He keeps picturing her beside him in the truck, so he’s gotta get rid of the damn truck so he can move on with his life.”

McGraw brought the fan-favorite track to life with a little help from his youngest daughter, Audrey, who made her acting debut in the music video

Directed by Alexa and Stephen Kinigopoulos, the “7500 OBO” video follows Audrey’s character and what appears to be her first love. Their relationship plays out from the perspective of the backseat of a Ford F-150. Viewers watch as the pair shares many special moments together inside the truck, however, things come crashing down when the male character moves away.

Crushed over the ultimate demise of their relationship, the leading lady decides to park the truck for good. After time passes, she puts the truck up for sale. Viewers will be surprised to see who purchases it.

McGraw went on to tease that he’s “got new music coming soon,” telling fans to “buckle in!!”

While co-hosting Country Countdown USA alongside Lon Helton earlier this month, McGraw revealed that he is working on his sixteenth studio album.

The country superstar revealed that he has already begun to work on his upcoming new album.

“I’m in the middle of it. I’ve probably mixed eight so far, and will record a few more soon,” McGraw shared.

McGraw went on to say that he wants to top his previous project before he teased that new music will be released sooner than we think.

”I’m always looking to beat what I did last time,” McGraw added. ”I’m sure we’ll have something off the new album here before too long. I don’t know when the album will drop.”

The forthcoming new album will mark McGraw first new album since the release of his 2020 project, Here On Earth, which features the singles “I Called Mama,” “Undivided” and his latest hit, “7500 OBO.”
The Louisiana native recently wrapped his McGraw Tour 2022 and has several appearances planned at upcoming fairs and festivals throughout the summer.
