Chapel Hill-- aka, the southern part of heaven-- a college town with good eats (sometimes-- some have gone to Durham), lots of art/music/films, and (sadly) very few bookstores. We need more bookstores!
Chapel Hill has everything you could look for! There's a great variety of food options, trails and parks, nightlife, museums, sports events, and music to choose from.
I'm a student at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill, which is how I came to live in Chapel Hill. Since moving here in 2022, I've loved the town and the people and the atmosphere. The university is amazing, and that results in a lot of amazing graduates and professionals living and working in the area. There's a good diversity of people living here, and a good diversity of places to shop, work, eat, and live. My only gripe with the area is that there isn't a lot of affordable housing, although I guess that's to be expected of a place with so many people constantly moving in and out of the area. Overall, I love Chapel Hill, and I plan to live here after graduation as well.
