Eva Irene Feist was born to Wendlin and Rose (Glas) Volk in Selfridge, ND, on September 21,1925, the oldest out of their six children. Eva enjoyed helping farmers in their area and watching their children. She also had done housekeeping for priests for 7 years and worked at the St Alexius Hospital in Bismarck for 4 1/2 years.

On September 28, 1957, she had married Paul Feist of Burnstad at the St. Mary’s Cathedral in Bismarck. They had returned to the Burnstad area where they had farmed together. They had one beloved son, David. Eva enjoyed gardening flowers and vegetables, as well as canning, raising poultry, and milking cows. She had shared her passion for the lord by helping teach religion classes at the St. Clare’s Catholic Church in Burnstad for 13 years. Eva often enjoyed taking care of and spending time with nieces and nephews. She had also enjoyed cooking and baking. She always baked bread and when her grandchildren came along she would bake them each their own loaf and let them eat the insides out.

In the early 2000’s, Eva had moved into the Prairie Apartments located in Napoleon. Around 2017, Eva had been moved into the Napoleon Care Center/Wentz Living Center, until she had peacefully passed.

Eva was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Paul, and her five siblings: Anton (Deloris) Volk, Albin (Ruby) Volk, Joseph Volk, Marie Dalbol, and Anne (Jacob) Klein.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, David and Darci Feist of Burnstad. Her three grandchildren, Daniel and son Justin of Bismarck, Dorinda and children Damen and DaeLynn of Napoleon, and Desiree of Burnstad; and numerous nieces and nephews.
