I visited the mansion and joined the English tour given by Francis. It was a very informative and humorous tour (RM25): Francis has a lovely manner about him and he answered questions very knowledgably as well. The mansion is gorgeous, so beautifully maintained and with a lot to see. Also highly recommend the cafe/gift shop: the nyonya cakes at the cafe are delicious!

We were on an organised tour by Tui for Georgetown from the top - and it certainly did not disappoint . We had fasttrack tickets and therefore very little queuing - the funicular is pretty steep and if you are able to get into the front carriage you can admire the view as you are ascending to the top.
We had about an hour to have a look around and took the opportunity to ride one of the golf carts that take you to past the old colonial cottages. It only cost about £5 per cart for 4 people . Enough time to admire the view and have a sorbet to cool us down .

Excellence service from Mr Resty. He was patient, attentive to the needs of my elderly parents, and would go the extra mile to make all the necessary arrangements for our convenience.
The food available at the hotel was good too, like nyonya curry laska, aglio olio - al dente spaghetti (from Mangga), prawn mee, dhal (breakfast), and the dining experience at Indigo was not to be missed. Overall experience was memorable.

The temple is right opposite Wat Chaymangkalarm - and is the only Burmese Buddhist temple in the state. The oldest part goes back to 1805. It serves as a retreat for devotees as well as a monks quarters.
There is a large statue of Buddha in the main shrine hall which is worth seeing as well as the landscaped gardens and the tall bell tower.
There is an elevator to go up to the third floor but unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to see the views.

Having never visited a clan house this was an interesting site to visit. It does not take that long to go through the formal exhibit and to see the site. Well worth a visit if you have never been a clan house.

A wonderful, colourful experience in this location.
So many shophouses open to the public, browse through the modern and traditional shops, restaurants and street art in this area.

My wife and I visited on a cruise ship excursion and we had just under an hour here to enjoy the pretty surroundings. It's an easy walk and fairly flat. There are many interesting plants and trees to see, and our guide explained that the gardens were mainly known for its trees and plants, in contrast to botanical gardens elsewhere that focused on flowers.

There are wild macaque monkeys here...just don't go too near or wave any bags around as they will try to grab the bag on the premise there might be food inside. We loved the fascinating cannon ball trees, the cannon balls are really odd plants that apparently smell rotten on the inside. We could have easily spent longer here but we were on a tight timetable.

The gardens are located at Jalan Kebun Bunga and it is Malaysia’s only botanic gardens. There are many ferns and cactus houses too, including some rare species.
The Botanic Gardens is open every day from 5 a.m. until 8 p.m and there is parking available.

One of the best museums I’ve ever been to. You learn so much about penangs music history. And the staff is very passionate about it. We got a private tour and it was very fun and informative. You can try many different music instruments- it is just awesome!
In my opinion a Must-Visit when you come to Penang.
