If you just take a look at the collaborators, you can see this would be a quite varied album. It really is, and while sounds more colourful that the common full-lengths of the genre, I can't help feeling it's a hit and miss. I'm still not giving up searching for good trance stuff and honestly I wanted to hear more trance here, the songs are more on a downtempo level and also go to hiphop territories. Starry Eyed Surprise hit me I actually heard this song on TV a lot, including the Crazy Town guy and also sounds a bit like their one big hit 'Butterfly'. I'm really getting bored at the Requiem for a Dream film score, so Zoo York turned me off, for example. Anyway, this abum has it highlights as well. The best song so far here is Motion, a standard trance track that features Grant-Lee Phillips, it was a very pleasant surprise before the end.

Underrated Oakenfold album. It has enough variety, with guest vocals and different styles of music, to keep things quite interesting, with a few individual gems, the best being 'Starry Eyed Surprise'. I would give second place to 'Southern Sun'. Ice Cube, Nelly Furtado, Kronos Quartet and Tricky make some nice contributions as well, including Emilíana Torrini from GusGus and Spoon fame, and she sounds a lot like Bork. All in all an album that is not boring, has lots of variety and different enough tracks which are all enjoyable.

This is one of my favorite Paul Oakenfold albums. I like the first four songs, but I think "Get Em Up" with Ice Cube is the standout. I got into this music quickly and am still loving it. "Nixon's Spirit" offers a humorous release from the dance-pop. Not every song is dynamite ("Zoo York" comes to mind), but they are all worth a listen. I really enjoy Oakenfold's stuff because he pulls from so many areas. The variety of different vocalists on this album is great. Every song offers something a little different. He is Oakenfold, sort of the Mountain Dew of trance music. You have to give the album a shot if you can stomach the trendy dance-pop music.

Dance music that borders on trip-hop/trance. Nothing special really, but Oakenfold assembles an interesting collection of guest vocalists, which keeps things mildly interesting. Oakenfold style has a dreamy, inoffensive quality to it that makes this a pleasant listen.

Track pick is 'Ready Steady Go', which some of you may remember from the Tom Cruise film Collateral.

Two wonderful singles ("Starry Eyed Surprise" and "Ready, Steady, Go") are placed in the midst of generic and/or bad electro-dance schlock. But seriously, you need those two songs.
